i can pay almost $2000 for a Gl2 or buy a slightly used Gl1 for $500....is the Gl2 realy THAT much better?

the newer the camera, the better it is........and theres probably a good chance you are going to get fucked over if you buy from a site that has a GL2 for $1,400.

Take that site with the GL2, go to www.resellerratings.com, look it up, look at a picture of the storefront in Brooklyn, NY, where it most likely is. Buy it, realize its grey market and void of warranty and neads a replacement head, and be really mad. Or just be content with a sick deal on a GL1.

gl1's are freaking sick. i presonally really love that camera. ive only seen the gl2 a few times and know little about it. go with the gl1, and buy yourself a cool jacket and snowpants witht he money you save

i prefer the gl1 to gl2 - some of tyhe buttons on the gl2 are in the wrong position and you can hit them fucking up the camera while you are follow camming

yeah I heard the VX2k/VX21k are more durable, but with shooting on snow the GL2 is better than the VX I think cause the GL2 is batter at shooting primary colors, although Im not sure. :s
