Gl1 vs Sony

im looking to buy a GL1, what is sonys model(s) that are comparable?

dont buy a gl1 , they suck in low light and all around arent that good

you can get a vx2000 for around 200 bucks for so i would go for that or just the vx1000

there is no way in hell you will find any vx for that cheap not even close.

A vx2000 is around $1400. Gl1's are alright but not great. Most of the ones you'll find now are in bad condition and they're not worth it. If you're looking for a good quality cam but not the newest get a vx1000. They are around $1100 or so for one in good condition. Be careful when buying one though because the heads get worn easily and the viewfinder cable's break easily but those are easy to fix.

I would not even look at GL1s...at least get a GL2 but the best bet is a vx2100 and i believe they are upwards of 2000

Seriously,I wouldn't even look at the gl series.

Im sure the vx2100 will be way to much in your price range.If you want a good quality camera for cheap,check out the gs series from Panasonic.

if you want to check out any of my videos they are all shot with a gl1, i like mine, not the BEST camera, but its still very nice
