Giving blood

I donated blood to the red cross last wednesday and there is a huge bruise in my arm.hasthis happened to anyone else?
 
yea they did mine once and collapsed a vein it sucked and my arm was sore for like 3 days.... in the middle of summer i was pissed havent donated since
 
it happens when there is no pressure applied when the needle comes out, or if they put the needle in the wrong spot.

i had an inexperienced nurse draw my blood and she pulled the needle out without any pressue and i had the grossest, biggest bruise on the inside of my elbow joint, and it was right in time for volleyball season. I can't remember if it hurt really bad, or just looked like it did.
 
i once looked like i had one but it was just the iodine so they could find my vein soo it looked like an uber nasty bruise
 
my school had a blood drive three weeks ago. a bunch of people still have bruises. the nurse who drew mine knew what she was doing so i was fine
 
Once the nurse couldn't find my vein, she stuck the needle in once but the vein was too small, so she stuck me again and again at least five or six times until she finally found a good one. grrr
 
i gave blood a few weeks ago.. and at first there wasnt a bruise or anything however a day later there was a small bruise that lasted about a week and there is still a small mark but you can hardly notice it
 
i've givin blood a bunch of times and the only time that happened to me is because i went to work right after school(where i gave blood to get outta math) and they always tell ya not to do anything for the rest of the day

but they also may have ripped you vein alittle and it could have been leaking out... its nothing to worry about but the do give ya that number if ya wanna call em
 
In Ohio it's 17. My school always trys to get as much blood as they can (we can get scholarships from it) so I'm sure if they'd accept 16 y/o's with a parental consent form they'd be handing them out.
 
i almost passed out. i got hot and sweaty and then dizzy and then almost puked. so i skipped class.

i went to a party that night, had a third of the bears i usually drink and got fucked up
