on fat skis

i ski alta but i also want a ski that can do it all, mainly a fat pow ski but can do the park also

must ski switch good too

so far the elizebeths caught my attention but then i found out that its sidecut isnt good for pow

the seths arent good in the park or switch

what are my other options?

Lizzies will be fine in powder and the park. If you're more into powder, then mount them back like 2cm or so.

Also, a lot of people like the Scratch BC in the park so you might wanna check it out. The back tip is huge like the Lizzie.

well the lizzies only come in like a 170 don't they? plus they are pretty hard to find and are a pretty soft ski. Give us some info like your height and weight and sheeeit

yeah idk how a ski can be "bad" switch - he must've read a review and the skier referred to less than average switch performance because of a mounting point or something.. mounted too far back?

its tough overall finding a fatty ski for the park too. maybe stick with a park ski wit ha sub 90mm waist. utah pow can be skied with 85mm waist skis.

its mainly for all mountain and backcountry

but i wouldnt want them to be super bad in park

and just because alot of people use them in the park

doesnt mean anything

Skis that are mounted far back are harder to ski switch, but so are skis that have much wider tip than tail. They are tougher for the same reason, you are lugging a big tail end behind you when you ski switch.

If you want a fat ski in the park, there aren't too many options. Lizzy is the fattest park ski around. If you want to take the width down a bit (to the 90 range) you have a lot more options: Scratch BC, Chronic Blend, Big Trouble, ARV, etc. Of those, a lot of people like the way the Scratch BC performs in the park. It's tip and tail are very close in dimensions for a big ski.

owning both bacons and lizzies i would definiteley say DO NOT get bacons when your that size. turing them will be a task and they dont shred the groomed with as much agility and steez as the lizzies. i would get lizzies if i were you dude they are seriously the best all around ski i have ever ridden. from parks and pipes to groomed runs to bc cliff drops and powder shredding, they can do it all. seriously, get lizzies. peace

at 5-7 120 pouns, the 172 lizzies would be perfect. They are designed to ride like a snowboard, so they should be a little shorter than typical skis

I would definitely recommend the Scratch BC WRS. I got a set this year and they rip in pow and I took a trip to breck and found them to be better than my two year old FS in the park. They are light and agile in the air and have good flex for everything. Great carving as well.

ya i was thinking maybe the jpjuliens

and another thing is idk how my parents would feel having a naked woman on my skis

idk though i really like the lizzies but i dont want to make a bad decision

Just a warning on the JPvsJuliens, they are great for powder but not good in the park. If you go to the Armada website, they have a chart where they rank each ski in each condition on a scale of 1 to 10. Since they are rating their own product, they rate them all very high, but even so, they give the JPvsJulien the LOWEST rating of any ski in their lineup in the park.
