Pretty much any major graffiti artist has a wild background story. The easiest I can think of (just because of the amount of mystique and mythology surround him) would be Banksy.

Before all you other graffiti hipster come in all hot and bothered, there are many others, he's just on who has garnered a lot of media attention and would be pretty fun to write about.
