Has anyone tried those Giro helmets with the belt in headphone/earpads? I'm wondering what the advantage of them is. Couldn't I just wear my regular headphones instead? How's the sound quality? Can you hear the bass? let me know. thnx

i love them. the sound quality is really good and its way more comfortable then using normal headphones. there is a mute button to stop the music when your talking or whatever. if your buying a giro helmet just spend like 15-20 bucks more and get the tuneups, definitally worth it

they look sweet. i was thinking about getting them but i suck so i thought that would be poser'ish so i dont think im going to

....

my question is can you still hear people around you, im used to having ear bud headphones in underneath my helmet and im pretty much deaf with music on low even, so can you hear people when you have music playing?

^for that i just kinda lift up the ear pad, or press the mute pad, and use your mp3 to turn do the music
