Giro Shiv or Giro Encore

Both are similar helmets and both are sick as hell. I was just wondering how the following goggles fit with a beanie under these helmets.

Anon Figments

Anon Helixs

and... Oakley Crowbars

I have the giro encore and love it. Normally wear goggle under it, and if the helmet size isn't quite right, the padding comes in varying thicknesses. Great helmet though and I bet the shiv is sick too.

smith circut helmet.

looks steezy, stays warm, lasts forever AND works perfectly with cbars, check prof. pictures for an idea.

my 2 cents

i have to agree i own both the shiv and encore and tested the shiv last year both great helmets simular performance nicer options on the shiv and bit lighter but for the price the encore is amazing. and goggle interface on both are very clean and have no problem with or without a beanie underneath.

yup, no velcro on the inside of the shiv so it doesnt grab your hat. its also made a better and stronger way. you could also get the goggels that go with the helmet, they dont have any plastic pieces on the straps so it fits really nice on your head. super legit setup, ill probly be getting it later in the season.

I got the Giro Encore off Tramdock.com for $30. It fits super well with a beanie and my goggles under. Plus it is super light and looks SICK!

OK thanks for all the help guys, but i have one more question. I was wondering about the sizing; when you wear a beanie and gogs underneath do you take the padding all out or no? And does that determine what size you get.

This is my exact setup:

Giro Encore

Crowbars

And a black hat

I used this setup last year and i'm doing it again this year

a good thing i really like about the shiv is that you dont need to have a beanie under to wear your goggles and its still super comfy.
