the page before we were talking about AK girls being a different breed. i havent been there in the winter, yet, so i dunno about skiing, but last summer while i was there i met some rad chicks, such as this pregnant lady who went backpacking in denali with her girl friend, i think she was like 8 mos. along. way hardcore.

true that Tanakaskier, he knows whats up everyone. park up here, and most places i think, suck ass. some kids couldnt do a trick off a natural jump to save their life. get out of the park and go ski the big mountain like the big boys do. i mean sure, if you live in the east, and theres no snow, fuck, i dont care. you guys rock for skiing on ice regardless of where you ski. but what really pisses me off is the people at big resorts with lots of snow who ski park. dosnt make any sense. oohh, um right.......the real topic, girls that ski......umm good job. your still cool.

I love girls that can ski....i dont care if they hit the park or not... although its dope if they do...as long as they rip I love it.... I am ridiculously attracted too girls that can Ski (or Snowboard) Well.

ha. that sucks. i think this is the most retarded thread ever. you know why? because girls are bitches, straight up. that's why we dont like to ski with eachother. take SABA for example, tried to start a conversation with her like THREE TIMES this summer in whistler, got ephing ignored the everytime. the thing is, girls are so competitive that they turn into bitches. i just think that if you're skiing with someone, wherever you are, they can do what they want to do and you can do what you want to do. ski with KTP and you'll know what i'm sayin.

there are a lot more girls i'd rather NOT ski with, but there are a bunch that are tons of fun to ski with.

 
come to think of it....theres no hardcore ski girls in alaska at all! like, none that even hit big mountain lines or anything. just a bunch of old people, and mothers taking their kids on the small runs.

there are a few kinds of girls.... the ones who bitch about everything, those that bitch about everyone... yah just stay away from the bitches in general and go with the chill girls that just dont care and have a good time at whatever they do. thats who i like to surround myself with.

ay , i agree. i dont particularly like to ski with other girls. there are a select few tho. i find that knowing the girl before helps, but just going up to a girl in the park gets u nowhere. when i met one of my best friends , (eebis) , we didnt really like each other and thought of each other as competition. now tho were like inseperable on the slopes. and there are a few other girls ii kno, and thats chill. because itll be sick to ride with them . but if i didnt kno girls and went up to them on the slope, you wouldnt get anywhere in that convo. their pretty like " this is my teritory. im the girl at this mountain. get away" haha . at least thats wat i find.

girls suck and there is no excuse ive seen three girls who where "good" at skiing and there all big name pros but just like there is lil' posers dudes, 99.9% of gilrs that ski in the park are poser dudes

 
thats pretty harsh dude. and stereotyping. maybe you should think and know all the girls who ski befure you start making generalizations. because not all girls JUST kno how to ski park. and not all girls JUST stand there and look pretty. so your pretty wrong for making such a big generalization.

IMO these are the main reasons why there is a large gap between girls and guys skiing ability:

- guys take more risks and deal with this better

- why do they take more risks? apart from it being more in their nature, the competitive field is a lot thicker for the guys

I'm thinking about big mountain comps here in particular. for the guys to qualify at a comp, they have to take certain risks to be noticed. girls don't need to so much, first of all there's generally only 10 to 15 girls who enter, compared to maybe 40 or 50 guys.

 
thats cute................ not all well all the "girls" i see than can ski somewhere on the mountain with the guys are damn near, if not 30 years old ( not who where talking about there women) thats putting bulldyke racer bitches aside and I'm sure you have girls who are just "sick" that you ski with but........ i don't buy it bitches until the average gilr can hng with sarah and Ms. Parker they'll always be wack
