Girls that ski

that works for freesking, but there are soooo many more girls that are comparitively good to guys in stuff liek racing - i think freestyle skiing hasn't caught on with girls enuff yet, they're all still snowboarding cuz its the "cool" thing to do

yea up untill this year, every year at ski camp ive been one of maybe 2 girl skiiers, when i went to windells 3 and 4 years ago i was the only girl every session. there just arnt that many in the sport, most girls are all about snowboarding

ya thats we do . i always ski with about 10-15 kids. and we just go down in a line. that way its fun too. cuz people are like " oh shit. look at these kids come"

also, when you go into the park, how many girls do you see a day, i think maybe 2 at sugarbush, and im the only girl ive ever seen throw a trick at sugarbush to (not counting snowboarders) and i just started skiing in the park this year and i felt kind of intimatated by all of the guys throwing down so i didnt go and just huck things, i think that girls get more intimatated because we feel we have a reputation to hold

Yes, i love going in the park and having all the people say "Hey there, look its those cool kids agian". Thats what gets my jollys off.

 
i dont know any girls that ski park. at all. either they board cuz its the cool thing to do, or they ski groomers with the rents on the weekends.

I'm the only girl who ski in the park where I live. I've only seen one or two girls ride through the park and i ski there almost every day.. sometimes i ski with som girl friends who snowboard though, but it's just not as fun as skiing with the guys. I just don't get why not more girls are as psycked as I am about this sport!!

what are u smokin?? sarah burke is not only a skier...but one of the first girl freeride skiers....shes awesome too...i got to ski with her this year at momentum....shes the shit!!! do u even pay attention to the sport?? or u one of those pep who does it cuz its the cool thing to do...not cuz u love it?

psssh I'll admit I know a ton of ski girls who suck and complain, but I also know OF a ton of ski girls who are super progressive and are fast and do tricks. THey're soo cool I wish we had some in AK.

The chicks in my school that ski, just go down into the trees and scream all the way down, then go in every other run to find guys and to put on more makup. so i took the hot one with some potential to be a good skier, and taught her how to 180. damn im good. but then once i took her to the park she didnt want to do anything because she was afraid that someone would see her crash. Wtf?

i ski at a small town hill you could call it and there arnt many girl skiers but the girl snowboarders that i ski wit never want to try anything and no matter how hard i try to push them they give up....it gets boring when i sit there in front of like a 20 ft box for 30 min waiting for one of them to try it and then they most of the time say ill try it next run and they get up and do the same thing all day....pisses me off so i just do my own thing down the hill....I GAVE UP

Im a girl and i know when i first started doing 3's in the park i was scared shitless...but skiing with all guys got me over that real quick. I find that guys are better modivators and just push you to do it where as some girls arent like that to other girls. Its not that girls arent as modivated as guys...i think it has to do with who you ski with and how much they push you. That helps get you to push yourself. or at least thats how it was for me.

 
I ski for pure love of the sport and the mountains etc - everything about it! It would never have crossed my mind to start skiing because it looks cool..

a guy told me at camp that i was the best skier there. it made my day! and collin asked me where i learned to ski lines cause i was really good at em. which was sweet cause im just learning backcountry.

i wanna see a seg of a chick bustin out, thatd be sick. i was at an oakley store and they showed kristi leskinen doin 7s on like 60 footers and doin a 20 stair, that shit was nuts!

 
Still going to take some time. Would love to see a movie like Dropstitch but with skiers instead.

kitchen? of course. that's why i have small feet ... so i can stand closer to the stove. and i don't ever have to wear a watch because there is a clock on the stove.

i ski with guys most of the time and theyre all nice to me and push me to improve.

and girls are definitely different when it comes to skiing cuz we just act different

as my brother always tells me go balls out and i tell him i dont have balls

 
i ski in tahoe were there are plenty of good skiers and tons of great parks and i have never seen a girl skier do more then a straight air off a mid sized jump.
