its true and if you dont believe it, your living a lie. I met up with kristi at windells and saw first hand how good, she really was. I was expecting greatness but only found disapointment. before hitting any rail, she had to stop and motivate herself ( remeber in 1242). Even if the rail was two feet off the ground she would freak out and tell herself a hundred times. ' I can do this' Im the best and fear is my enemy.' I watched her do this on almost every feature, while grommets and unknown campers would put her to shame. here is the top women pro with tv appearences, full lenght video parts, full spreads in magazines, and numerous sponsors being totally showed up by kids with no sponsores, no recognition, and not alot of talent. now everytime i glance at what freeskier said about her in the 'women of freeskiing' i either laugh histerically or feel sick to my stomach. lets face it Sigmund Frued was right, its all about sex. if kristi was uglier she would not have anything and you wouldnt give a rats ass about her. her whole carrier is based on looks. and it pisses me off. if kids really want to get free shit from comapanies they should put their hot sisters in ski suits with maxium skin exposure and promise them it will help with their modeling carears. show her doing a jump, and bam. sponsor flow will be coming in no time. sell the stuff you dont like and keep the hard goods.

i agree with ^. that is 1 girl, but its the same deal with lots of other pros, while they can do amazing tricks it takes alot to get there even if they've done it before. The problem is that all the people in the skiing comunity see of them is what they CAN do and not all the failed atempts before them.

I have mentioned this before, but here is goes again. Women's sports take a while to evolve, and yes there are sports that men will always dominate. I think that skiing is the type of sport that women can hold their own. Women's snowboarding has come a very long way. Before the girls only had to do 360's and backflips to be sponsered, now they are pushing the sport. Its going to take a while for the women to catch up with the men, but over time, it will happen. Granted there will probably be a few men still better then all women, but I think that the women will start to reach the same level as the majority of top men.

 
To be honest, I love when women ride! They are progressing the sport in their own way, and have come a long way. Much respect to those who progress. It takes a lot for big name pros to get where they're at, women and men alike! And come on, you got to love when a girl steps up and throws down! No disrespect to anybody, but women are neccessary for many pleasurable 'sports'!
