Girls Skis Suck

161 = short skis.

Salomon Mai Tai is the same ski as the Suspect, just different topsheet. Same deal with the Shogun and the Geisha. This way if the top sheet doesn't appeal to you, you get the same exact ski in a different graphic by switching from womens to mens. Rossignol I believe has some of the same deal going on with some of their skis as well.

Like I said before, I have a mens ski in a 167 park ski, a little more aggressive than a womens in the same size. My womens skis are 175 & I have the Mai Tais in 171. The Mai Tais are pretty damn stiff... they aren't mounted up anymore, dont really have a purpose for them.

I LOVE my Liberty Larose's (now the LTE). Such a poppy, lively ski. I bought them in 178 which are too long for me so I'm going to sell them to my bro. I think I might buy them again for just fucking around on and teaching.

I'm sorry but this year arw look pretty sick all black with 3 shades of colors and next years are super cool too and no half naked boys... just so you know...

i'm getting tired of these "girls who ski" threads, because while i am an avid supporter of the ladies on skis, i'm pretty bored of the militant female skier vs. ill informed dude arguments.

but i would like to point out that this is one of the best graphics around.

I ski Atomic 192 Atlas's and 185 Blogs. I'm also almost 5'9" and an ex ski-cross racer. For women, 185cm is the standard GS ski length in racing, no big deal. Tiny girls that are 5'2" and maybe 130lbs crank these 185cms around on ice like nobody's business, but they're stronger than your average girl, or just know how to ski better and actually hold an edge vs. slide around. I find it hard to ski anything shorter than a 180cm or I get lots of chatter at speed and tip dive in pow.

Will companies ever make a longer than 180cm womens ski? Probably not. There isn't the demand, or money out there. If they made a ski that long catered only to women they would lose money for the costs of making a longer length mold, or re-top sheeting the existing mens ski. Its hard to satisfy everyone, and there are more beginner/intermediate women out there than advance.

Solution? Ski shorter mens skis, or hit the gym and get bigger quads.

Think about how many pairs of said proposed ski would sell in your town vs. popular mens skis. No where close.

Like it's been said, who cares about graphics when they're covered in snow half the time anyways?

Lol. Boone wasn't even going to make womens graphics this year at all, because all we hear from the female skiing community is that they're gross, but then the feminists in San Francisco would have bitched at us for being sexist or something.

That said, There is that certain amount of girly girls out there who want pink flowers, rainbows, teddybears and unicorns on their skis... and you have to appeal to that. They will pay money for skis like they'd pay money for shoes... those are the ones who make you the skrill, anyways.
