Girl who over shot hut jump to death

anyone know that girl that overshot the hut jump and landed on her face? supposedly cracked her skull and lost a bunch of teeth. anyone know or see it?
 
Brian not to be critical, but couldn't you have put the wording of the tread a with a bit more respect?

I mean did she actually die?

I've never trusted that hut jump at all, it should be much longer landing and distance to clear the tabletop, it's always been a Huge hazard.
 
saw her air it from the top but as you know you cant ski the landing so i skiied under and saw her on the ground all fucked up and then next run about 30 patrollers were there.....
 
Just so you know that made me extremely upset Brain. i'd like an apology, I tired to make amends for that, you have absolutly no right bringing that out in converstation.

I agree though, the title made me think she had died, you should have said something like "Girl who carnaged herself on the jump".

Anything "jump/air/rail/cliff to death" pretty much just "ate it... HARD" to me. Since when do people actually die in terrain parks? Not that often, especially since the HL is mandatory helmets. I guess he could've used other wording, but seriously, come on now... find better things to fight over. My friends have videos labeled "BCbooterdeath" and things like that, it's just not taken literally.

Balls to the girl for sending it, rehabs a bitch. Best of luck, faces do heal, I tore skin off my nose, cheek and forehead last year on the salted/fertilized DH course when I blew my ACL. It'll look normal in a month or two. Broke jaws though... means your mouth is wired shut for 6 weeks. Fun times.
 
i heard when she hit her helmet strap blew apart, and she also got blood clots in her arteries in the neck from the whip lash, pretty lucky that she didnt have a stroke

I've seen someone die for real on hut jump. To whoever said "nobody dies in the park" is retarded. There have been multiple deaths or paralysis (which in my books is just as bored or worse than dieing) in the blackcomb park. You're naieve.
 
I'm well aware of the multiple paralysis that occur in the terrain park AND the bike park. I spend enough time in hospital myself to know the local GP's pretty well. Hell, in the summer the clinic sends on average one person down to lions gate with a spinal chord injury. I'm just saying that it's fairly infrequent that someone ACTUALLY dies in the terrain park. This doesn't mean that people aren't fucking themselves up badly on a daily basis. And the last thing I was thinking when I clicked this thread is that someone actually died.
 
top clarify i did not willingly DQ lifejacket from last years lotp. i wouldve enjoyed watching his rodeo genie grabs all day but manning had a problem cause he went upside down.

if i had put a girl ate shit on hut jump, would people actually expected a girl to be sitting on top of hut jump with a picnic blanket and a buckeet of shit and a spoon?

i hope karen is doing alright
 
a dude died in the whistler park like 3 weeks ago, he fell off a rail wrong and hit his head on a rail the wrong way, dead.
 
I as well wish Karen a strong Recovery.

My concern with the threads title was that had injuries developed further from what was known at the time, that it might have been awkward for those who happen to know her, or very upsetting to anyone who hadn't heard details of there friend and found out via this tread.

I didn't mean to sideline this tread either...

113-ft feet is a nasty fall, I will say again, That jump has always been too small, with out a proper landing, I've flattened out on at bottom of the landing like a pancake more times than i Can count, and am personally thankful I was never seriously injured on the hut jump. The Park crew should re-design the jump into a step over, and make the appropriate steps necessary, re-molding the jump out of dirt this summer, AS should be expected if they which to continue tobe known as one of the best terrain parks in Canada, let alone the world. As a Former Seasons Pass holder I would ask them to try to build there jumps to perfection.

thats shitty, i heard about that too. that jump is way too big with way too flat of a landing. that whole right side just looks like death to me.

2 years ago, I tore mucles from the hut jump. Curse you hut jump!

but wow, sounds really painful.
