I think a lot of it has to do with numbers, theres always going to be the girls that stand out and go hard, but then theres the posers and girls that are there strictly for show. Like the fact that they're a girl is too much to believe and they need documented proof of standing in the park with the big boys.
I know a few girls that ride really well, but I grew up with them on the race team and switched to freeride a few years back. Amazing skiers, not afraid to jump and try new things, just stuck in the east coast with people that aren't doing too much either. When there's no one around to push you, your not going to go too far.
