Girl skiers vs. Girl boarders

im doing a school essay and which ones do you think in your opinion are more progressive, girl skiers or boarders. i say boarders because i havnt seen many girl skiers that have been throwing down crazy tricks. what do you think is a winning trick in a big competition..rails, jumps and pipe..for a girl skier? who is the best girl skier out there??

if ur talking progression than i would say girl skiers because our sport is less progressive and they can where as snwoboarding is more progressive and i see the guy doing most of that.. but if ur talking who is bette a pro girl skier or a pro girl snowboarder i will have to go the girl snowboarder
 
watched some snowboard contest on Fuel..the dudes were throwing nines and tens over this like, 65 footer maybe (slopestyle). As for the women, no disrespect, average tricks were ones and threes, dope tricks were like, indy fives, and winning trick was a sloppy, washed out, no grab seven..so.
 
I'm gonna have to say that in terms of in the park, girls in snowboarding are a couple years ahead of girls in skiing in the park. I respect the hell out of any girl on skis in the park, however I believe that girls that board are more common and more out there. However, in terms of overall hotness I'm going to say that some girls I see that are racers are pretty dam fine, much better than girls who snowboard. Girls who ski park are sick, theres just more female snowboarders
 
I remember seeing some girl on here that was mad good. She was throwing cork sevens and slayed the box set up. Just youtube like, women comps..I dont know
 
im gonna go ahead and say that chick boarders are more progressive, because chick skiers think they are progressive for just skiing instead of boarding
 
I'm on a team i'm the only girl skiir and there are two other girls that snowboard they can't even clear a jump and I'm getting 5's and all the rails while they can only do boxes.
 
ingrid backstrom dude. fuck what girl skiers can do in the park compared to boarders.. look at out of the park on the big mountain. girls are way more narly
 
i think its important to look at the population percentages haha, like how many girls ski and rip it versus how many girl snowboarders do more than sit and look pretty next to the jumps. like the ski girl population is small but i think we've got a good level of progression, meanwhile like theres TONS of snowboarder girls so the prob. of seeing one whos good is higher but theres 100 snowboard girls sitting in the lodge cause theyre hands are cold versus 2 that are amazing and out there trying stuff

word girls like ingrid, lyndsey dyer, meg oster etc absolutley slay big mtn. as for park, the top girls like sarah, kristi, michelle and grete are pushing it super hard but the strength in depth is not like guys comps. i'd say girl snowboarders are at a higher level in the park- girls like cheryll maas are sick, but girl skiers push it harder in big mtn than snowboarders. ingrid backstrom vs victoria jealouse: i'll let you be the judge of that...

to be honest, don't write an essay, its not a good essay topic.
 
Out of all the girl skiers and all the girl boarders I do see more girl boarders, but when I do see girl skiers I always see them tearing it up rather than sitting in the landing.

sarah burke is sooo sick. and michelle parker. and kaya turski and mirjam jaeger and many others..!! and all the big moutain girls like ingrid etc..

we need more girls !! cmon !
 
thats a really good point. say you take like 100 skiers chicks and 100 boarder chicks, i'd say like 50 of the skiers rip and maybe like 20-30 of the boarders rip
 
im a good skier, and i ride park, and i do not have a huge ass, and im not sure i've seen too many others with them

but i dunno, i could be wrong
 
I dunno if skier chicks or snowboarder chicks shred harder but my sister skis park and learned to slide rails natural and unnatural and just learned to 3 a 50 footer. And its her second year park skiing too. Just throwing it out there.
 
The best trick I've seen a girl snowboarder do is a sloppy ass 270 onto a flat box. Ive seen girls doing 3's and other better tricks. When my sister is 16 she'll be doings 7's :) shes almost doing 3's and shes 10
