I'm willing to bet, based on what I know about licensing laws, that salomon was in on it. Like it or not, skiing is going back to the mainstream. The 'subculture' that everyone seems to be enjoying will die, just as it did with skate boarding, and people will get over it. Sports like basketball, baseball, foot ball, soccer.... will allways exist, and because of the financial requirements involved with skiing, skiing will never reach the lime light. What does that BS mean? It means that promoters, event organizers and marketers will have an easier time involving skiing in their promotions and the sport (professionals) will begin to see increased profit potential.
None of that will happen if Law suits against resorts continue to be filed due to simple risk management issues. Regardless of your role at your hill, whether your a customer, employee or just visiting, if you see something that isnt right, let some people know. Theres a lot of work to be done around the ski areas still, and believe it or not, amidst that million dollar campuses, theres no money spared to take on more staff to fix things or make things safer. Please help where you can, and educate the 'joeys' so they dont get 'murdered' in our parks. And the worse part is, lawyers feel it is in line with murder if they can prove that the resorts are at fault. ... lame
