anyways, shes skis a lot, and jumps (no spins or anything) and she needs new skis. so would it be better for her to get 152 line shaddows, or 153 line celebrity juniors. like i said, she doesnt ski aggressively, but more for the recreational aspect. shes about 100 pounds if that helps.

161 armadas are too long for her, 153 would be right about her forehead.

if she skis recreationally and goes off jumps, but doesn't jump or spin, why does she need twins? YOu can still hit jumps without twins. That's what I did up until last year. I could still do 3's and shit on my 170 Atomic GS9's

thats true however twins do help becasue she will most likley be getting into freesking and begin doing 180s ans stuff and its easier to learn on twins then carvers.

i would say get the juniors becasue of the foam core and it will be softer for her....

yeah, sir holland has the right idea. shes getting into freeskiing but wont be doing anything really ridiculous, maybe 3's if that

alright. I'm also just under 100lbs, and right now I ride 150 line mavericks. I've been freeskiing for a season and a half, and I also instruct so I do a lot of simple to aggressive downhill skiing. I like the mav's because they're very light and very flexible... and therefore easier for beginner freeskiers.

Now on one hand, the line celebs are more lightweight, and on the other hand, the shadows have more flex and kick.

So I guess the real question is, "is she spending more time in the park or on the slope?" slope = celebs, park = shadows... if it's an even mix, the tie breaker = appearance, and then I'd go with the shadows.

get the tiny lines. they are way cheaper.. and unless she slays rails (you said no.) then she'll be fine.

no, kate, you are mistake. im talkin celeb minis. they are 200 as opposed to 350 for shadows

oh snap, my bad. I misread that part. I take back the price issue... Also, where'd you get your pricing info from? I've found much different prices than that.

proctor jones has the celeb mini for 200 and jibij has the shadow for 350
