So, there's this girl, and were really good friends and stuff, but I like her and if she were to know this it'd likely be super awkward forever and we wouldn't be friends anymore and that's shitty.

Problem is, this sounds really elementary, but she's like I want to know who you like to show you trust me, and I'm like, uhhh. It seems like she wants me to be like.. Ok.. I like you... but I'm not sure. So should I lie throught my teeth and say a random name, or should I be honest. I said it would be weird and awkward if I told her who I liked and she said "The only way it would be weird is if it was like me or something". So. Asking for girl help from NS is like getting a construction worker to give you a root canal, but I'm desperate.

Alright. Well number one, just be honost with her. Why would it make things awkward if you told her you liked her? I mean don't be like, "Oh my god, I'm so in love with you." Grand displays of affection normally come back and bite you in the ass. so you don't have to come right out and tell her "I like you". Something like, "I see you differently than I see other girls." or "I feel different around you than I do around other girls." works very well. And you don't have to say it in this big dramatic moment. If you're with her and just having fun, don't be afraid to say something like that in normal conversation.

She needs to know that something in your mind sets her apart from everyone else. A lot of girls take that as a compliment. So even if she doesn't feel exactly the same way, she knows you care. And you guys might actually become better friends. And if it does make her upset, then she's not even worth your time.

Um... tell her but don't be dramatic about it because it isn't a dramatic thing. You should've just told her right away, now it's all built up to be more than it is. Whatever, next time she brings it up, just say "You". She will say "Really?" You will then say "Yeah, why not?" Then you will proceed to not be awkward about it. If you can manage it.

i know kinda ow u fel but the situation u have is kinda immature if she said that ne way I use to have a crush on what was bassically my very best friend and thought it be akward if i let her now but now we're goin out. so i think letting everything go naturally is prolly the best solution give her lil hints but not to big so that if she doesn't like u back its akward

The reason I didn't just tell her was cause she was like "I just got a weird thought" so I say what and she says "Tell me it isn't me" so I was like.. she thinks it's wierd. And whenever I said it was weird she said the only way it could be weird if it was me... so it seemed like she thought it would be weird
 
Just tell her whats on your mind. If you dont, you will most likely regret it down the road.

If you really like this girl then let her know man. If she doesnt want a relationship with you and starts to make everything awkward, just move on from her and spend less and less time with her.

You dont want to be that friend that she tells you about all her sex stories with other guys.
 
to me, it sounds like she likes you and thinks you like her too but she is afraid of putting herself out there so she came up with this trust thing to get you to say she likes you becuase like i said, shes afraid of making the move. just dont be afraid of telling her how you feel. you sound kinda young, it feels more natural with age.

wow this sounds EXACTLY like my story. my close group of friends is really tight, like wed do anything for eachother, and the noe girl imparticular i started to like after a while. the one nigth we were talking and she said that she really trusted me and and she wanted me to trust her and she asked me who i liked. me, being the stupid person i was, told her the name of another close friend of mine who i really didnt like. she was like ok, and told me the name of one of my friends. well about 2 weeks after this incident was the night of the superbowl. we were sitting on the couch next to eachother, and i decided it was too long. we just start holding hands and stuff, you know we had nothing better to do and when youre sober not too much stuff exciting happens (ive never been drunk anyways so i wouldnt know) but yeah we actualy started a relationship from there, and have been together ever since. i am so happy right now that i decided to let her know that i really liked her. you should just let her know somehow because for all you know she likes you back

in my opinion you should let her know about your feelings but at the same time be chill about it because if she doesn't have the same feelings towards you then it would be best that you didn't give her the impression that you liked her a lot, but THE MOST ADVICE THAT I CAN GIVE YOU IS TO TRY AND PICK UP ON HER HINTS TO SEE HOW SHE FEELS ABOUT YOU and if she seems to like you then i would say it's a green light
 
Nah, seriously, he made it into a tricky game, and now it's pretty much game over. You NEVER make it into a game. Ever. Once you start thinking "What does this mean, what does that mean, if I do that maybe she'll say that, and then..." You're finished. If you make things complicated in your mind you will have no success in life. At least in that part of life.

i was real close to this one girl and right after i met her, she kept asking who i liked. so i delayed and after a few weeks told her i liked her. nothing really happened there and then in a few months she told me that she liked me to. not really helpful for you at all... just a story thats kind of related. girls are weird man and they never make sense.

dude just tell her the truth cause she might be just as nervous to tell you that she might like you and is just pullin some reverse psychology on you.it might seem awquard for a little while but things will smoothe out eventually.
 
If she asks you again and you're on the spot and want to abort, just shit your pants. That gets you out of just about every awkward situation without any further questions.
