I have never had anything professionally diagnosed sports related, but I think I've had a couple of concussions skiing, but I can't really be sure. Also, bruised my tailbone a few times and have had reoccurring back pains after I ski sometimes. Surprisingly not that much considering I throw myself off shit like a rag doll when I ski.

Broke my ankle (tibia) playing baseball in late April of this year

multiple concussions (don't go to the doctors for them so dont know how many)

multiple concussions. you could probably guess by my username how they all came to be.

Sounds like you all need to drink some more milk. You're probably seriously limiting your skill level by being injured so severely so many times. I've definitely broken a few fingers/toes, gotten a couple minor concussions, and i just recently broke my wrist, but you guys are fucked up.

Curious though, what is the most typical injury from powder/backcountry tomahawks. Powderdrunkie mentioned he's gotten several concussions from powder, but that seems unrealistic.

Broke my arm riding my bike when I was 7At least 1 concussion from skiing

Last week I had a small rock surgically removed from my leg. I'm fairly certain that's from mountain biking

I get hurt all the time

Broken ankle from a bad bike spill

2 Broken wrists one from indoor soccer the other i cant remember

2 broken fingers one from water polo and one from tramping. The one from tramping my finger was bent at like a 90 degree fucking angle but i got it set and it alright.

Broke the shit out of my left foot water skiing. It was broken in like 5 places by far the worst out of all of them.

whenever i fall biking I always hurt my bike and not me. I've bent my handlebars, broken my derailleur, fucked up my brakes, and i never get hurt. yug

Jesus, sounds like some of you guys need to drink some milk or something. I've taken some hard spills biking, skiing, and doing other shit but god damn.

For me:

Maybe a concussion or 2. Fell riding bike once and landed directly on my head and broke the helmet. Took me a minute to gather my bearings but I was alright. Another time I got creamed in football and had no idea where I was. That was fun.

Pinched a nerve in my back playing football. Never been right since.

Manage to just about cut off a finger tuning the disk brakes on my bike. That wasn't fun.

Broke a finger playing football. (smashes in between 2 helmets)

Sprained ankle playing basketball.

Fell snowboarding when I was a kid at my house and had something stab me in the hand. Doctor had to pull parts of my glove out of my hand. Was pretty nasty.

Other than that a bunch of stitches, a lot of bruises, and lots of road rash.

Permanently messed up my right achilles tendon, 1 concussion, bruised a bone in my heel or something, cracked my knee cap once, got a rock in my other one, snapped my right wrist completely so the bones come out of the skin, torn a ligament under my shoulder blade, overall nothing too severe that has managed to physically disable me.

But for all of you getting 5+ concussions should consider taking things down a notch or quitting. Unless you are an absolute hard core skier that cares about nothing else in life, get your priorities straight, or enjoy more injuries. You can get brain damage, leading to being mentally retarded. You may get head pains constantly, or other things I am not bothered to know about until I break that 5 limit.

The amount of injuries one has had doesn't necessarily relate to calcium intake... I've had way way wayyy too many injuries, but mine were mainly due to 3B Syndrome (Balls Bigger than Brain) and previous injuries that weren't healed properly.

1 concussion2 broken wrists

2 broken ribs

1 broken thumb

1/2 way torn MCL and Meniscus

AND the best for last

My butt cut that resulted in 350 stitches. Had to get 5 muscles sewn back together and a couple tendons sewn back together. Crutches for 9 weeks, physical therapy 3 times a week for 5 months after that to learn how to walk again.
