My bad, from now on we will refrain from trying to be involved in the community by asking for feedback. Probably will just delete our NS account too.

You guys have a tiktok and sponsor one of the bowler twins and that one girl from copper with style

Will you be offering baked bean topsheets for your 21/22 lineup?

Maybe a limited edition release....?? The "designer" of those was going to get a pair made from that contest at the super discounted price, but then I think communication stopped on his end last I heard.

It was just a joke jfc

Gunnar is a G. Learned more about your company + skis when I met him this year. The skis seem pretty dope!

I wouldn’t even spend that on a pair of your swamp stick

Bottled tears will be dropping on our site next week. $9.99. Snag you some before they’re sold out

Been to your factory with a school field trip but I’m a quiet mf so I didn’t really say much.

Emailed y’all about doing a possible internship one of these next few summers and never got an email back which kinda blew.

would you guys let me come and build my own pair of skis, dimensions materials and all?

Sorry no one got back to you. This last year we were definitely slammed and understaffed. If you’re still wondering about an internship you can shoot me an email and I can follow up with who it needs to get to.

as far as building your own skis? I’m not sure I understand what you’re asking. Like can you come use our presses and make your own skis..??

Yeah me and my buddy have a design with the exact layup, materials, and dimensions. We just cannot afford a press or anything.

we want to buy all our own materials and then learn to make them at a place like yours

Make ur skis cheaper

make topsheets that aren’t cringe

make ur skis softer

try not to have such a cringe persona

other than that I think you guys mean well, I wish you the best of luck in the future.

How does Gilson give back to the community? Y'all sponsoring events and stuff or what

Definitely! There's a number of different events we have sponsored. One example is we partnered with Sheetz in PA and gave away 150 pairs of skis and snowboards to kids in PA through a program called SkiPA that helps get school kids involved in winter sports.

that’s dope

I'm gonna be honest, realistically there's a slim to no chance we'd be able to do that. For a number of different reasons. Running all of our machines to cut out and prep a core, pour sidewalls, print topsheets. All of those areas are in constant use by us to keep up with our own production. Not to mention the time we would have to set aside for someone to either train you properly or do it for you. We just don't have anyone who could take that much time off their job on the production line without it slowing the whole shop down. On top of all that there would be some liability issues. I could point you towards some local PA people who have garage homeade type setups for pressing skis for more of a hobby. They might let you use their equipment.

At this point, making our skis cheaper would mean cutting our pay of our shop workers. That's not something we are willing to do. We believe they all deserve a livable wage. Making skis in America has it's costs. No one at Gilson is pocketing buckets of cash because our skis are $600.

Topsheets being cringe is opinion based. Personally, some of ours are not my cup of tea either, but then we sell 20 of them to weekenders and I get to give a team rider like Ian Osby gas money for a trip to Hood....

Have you tried any of our skis from more recent years? We have softened up our skis significantly in the last couple years.

I agree our early skis were boards haha.

On the other side things, I've had DM's telling us our skis are way too soft......so there is that....

Cringe persona is something I'm not sure we will ever fix lololol

I mean we make skis and snowboards in the middle of nowhere Pennsylvania.....We're not exactly the cool kids in the industry

Thanks for the input, I can confirm that everyone at Gilson does genuinely mean well and just wants to spread the love of skiing and snowboarding!

Yeah we were hyped on it!

What was dope was a lot of the kids got to come to our facility to pick up their skis and boards so they got to tour the factory with their parents. They were pretty stoked to see how the skis and boards were made that they were getting

This is understandable, what about if I were to do an internship and I do a project to design a unique ski and make it by the end of the internship? I would be basically trained by working there and then by the end I could be able to do it and not be completely in the way because it will all be planned out and won’t take out much more time than one of your skis would be to make. Idk random idea and me just thinking too much lmao

but send me who you have because if they are close to your shop they’ll be close to me

Send me an email Josh@gilsonsnow.com and I can see about the possibilities

I found out about you guys through the sponsor giveaway that was probably the coolest thing I’ve seen a ski company do, also Ian Osby rides gilsons and he’s goated. Keep up the wicked work dudes you’re going up

Do you guys have any skis that turn the mountain into your playground while also holding up to the highest speeds and the biggest airs?

Topsheets dope tho

Do you actually have liscensing for all the sports team top sheets? That seems like it would be very expensive.

Saw a dude riding a pair in an insta/Tik Tok edit yesterday and thought they looked pretty sick actually.

Just checked out your website and it seems like ya'll are pretty heavy in the license game. I actually really like SuperDry's clothing and the black/orange collab you did with them are sexy af. Would deff ride those skis. That said, some of the other ones are real fucking random. I know this is subjective but the GI Joe and Transformers ones are pretty fucking tough to look at and doesnt really make sense to me why these toys are slapped on some skis. (I do think you could make these things work, but it's kinda a miss rn.)

Overall I like most of the skis but I feel like ya'll are treacherously toeing the J-Skis line of making meme skis with pop culture references and candy-shop graphics. Maybe slim down the line a little bit and try to have more of a cohesive style?
