GIANTS WON NL WEST!!!!

SF is gonna be going NUTS on Wednesday. I just really hope this all pans out. THe feeling of this Cinderella story coming to a bad ending is just TOO devastating.

Is there going to be any point during this thread that you will stop hating on everything practically anybody has to say about the Giants? When they win the World Series perhaps, but even then you'll probably say something to downplay their accomplishment. We're pround of our team, but it always seems like you will be raining on our parade.

I dunno man, $6.90 sounds pretty reasonable to me. I never paid more than $15 to go to a game this year.

How on earth was that HATING? I was merely saying that ticket prices at giants games tend to be pretty damn high... Least for seats that have a solid view... any time I went to a game it was like 60-70 bucks for a solid seat... and 9$ for a bud light..

I've ended my raining on the Giants fortunes. They've impressed me for sure, as much as I hate saying it.

And seeing as I hate the Rangers guts, I'm almost inclined to want them to win...

Calm down, I mean it in a general sense, not necessarily that particular instance. Anyhoo, glad to here you are turning over a new leaf.

Sean, the last tickets I bought were from my parents friends who are season ticket holders and have seats right behind home plate, they were $50. Seats for bleachers, upper reserves, etc? $15 at MOST.

But I'm glad you're on the Giant's side now, even if only a tiny bit.

I'm a Oakland A's and a Raider fan, but happy for the Giants, good for the bay area too. Just a little annoyed with all the bandwagon fans and how many stupid facebook updates I read from people who don't even know one player on the Giants and who could care less about any of their regular season games haha...but what do you expect ha

haha...I've been to more Giants games in my life than these so-called fans....Probably like 10 games this past season and I'm an A's fan haha.
But you should dude, we are already getting snow up in the foothills and mountains....should be an epic winter out here. I'll be in Tahoe for a good chunk of winter break and on thanksgiving here in a few...Trying to decide if I wanna drop a bill on the college boreal pass...might be worth it for early/late season and night shred...
you should get one then I got a buddy to ride with!

Indeed. I live right next to the ballpark and just to get a gauge on how many people are actually fans of the giants, I asked some randoms what players they liked and why, and I only found one person who referred to the players he liked in a way that at least made it look like he knew something. The others were just like "Oh, umm....buster whats his name...hes good cause he can hit the ball." I lol'd, and then considered slitting my wrists at the fact that there could be so many fucks that had no idea about the sport of baseball that came to watch the giants play. Pretty funny.

Yeah, SF has a bunch of yuppie trendy fans who jumped on the bandwagon...
I gotta admit, the Oakland A's and the Raiders have a way larger group of die-hard loyal fans that know the in's and out's of each team...I've been going to A's and Raiders games since I can remember and my family has owned season tickets for each team since I was in the third grade, and every single game I see all the old-timers and fans that sit in my section, we all show up on gameday and its like a family, I've never observed anything like this at Giants games, although the 49ers do have some pretty serious fans....nothing like Raider Nation though.
How many october Giants fans are on Cody Ross' dick haha....ask them in september who Cody Ross was and they would have no fucking clue....I gotta admit, I didn't really know him either, but I dont claim to be a Giants fan haha
But hey, Go Giants! My moms best friend is the giants announcer, only female announcer in the MLB. (but shes an A's fan LOLOLOL) And my dad works for Anchor Steam brewing out of SF, and they sell a lot of beer at Pac Bell, so its good for his business too.... Bay Love.

I thought she was the only female announcer in MLB. I really enjoy her voice, in fact I don't think going to Giants games would be the same without her

So true... My dad used to like the 49ers a lot. He went to a game with some of his buddies from work, and they had REAL sick tickets. They were standing up and getting loud and telling everyone else to get off their ass and support the team, and instead, a bunch of people complained and they got kicked out for cheering on the team like a fan's supposed to. I never cared much for them to begin with, but when that happened, i was pretty pissed off because my dad was super disappointed.
It's actually shit like that that's turned me off of the NFL to begin with... You go to college games and they fill all the seats in sub-par stadiums, and there aren't all these extra non-football things going on... whereas in the NFL it's all about this show. College ball just seems more about the actual game, and it makes you get super pumped up for it and get loud. I go to Cal games all the time... and Cal fans tend to be much quieter than most pac10 schools (stanfurd's the most timid by far though haha). You go to Eugene and you feel like you just got out of a hardcore metal concert where you were stuck standing right next to the woofer the whole show.. and that stadium barely pushes 60k, if even...
By the way, you wanna hook up some anchor steam?!

Yup, shes great and a really nice person. My family goes to their christmas party every year and that shit is bangin'...I always meet professional athletes and shit haha...
She used to worth with my mom on the radio at KMEL back in the late 70's and 80's and they have been great friends ever since....I love hearing voice at the games, its so crisp and I just like the way she pronounces everyones name haha
cool story I know!

I lol'd when they scored 6 homers in 1 inning.
Watched the whole thing.
Lee throwing underhand, or at least I think it was him...revealed his throws on release. stupid cunt. texas sucks.

They dominated EVERYONE this post season. They clearly are the best. Can you say 3 Cy Young's in a row for Tim?
