Giant moth of death

12 gauge, 3 1/2 inch magnum shell, T-shot

Problem solved

Only thing you can really really do with those fuckers that have a 4 inch wing span. I'm surprised he hasn't started spitting acid already. Don't forget your goggles.

but seriously, it seems pretty docile, just put it in a jar or something untill you get a bigger placce to put it, dont touch the wings, cause then the chemicals from your finger will affect its wings, or something like that

Funny thing is, it's a tough bastard. I went to grab the bag earlier and grabbed something furry (the moth) and flipped out. The fucker spread it's wings and settled back into place. He's been there for hours.

i would have "flipped shit" if i went to grab a bag and had a handful of huge ass green moth instead. but yeah, i agree, u should curb stomp it

well, in that case just fuckin kill him, i dont know how else to help you man, the guy who said 12 gauge has a good idea though

Wow man, this dude's hectic. Like he started a thread about a moth. Which could be pointless and boring. But he actually took the time to take to pic's, in seperate times. Man, your hectic. And that does seem large. Ill go with what everyone else is saying, eat it.

i found one that looked exactly like that about a year ago. about the same size.

i kept it in a plastic tupperware and after a week it laid around 50 yellow eggs the size of a bb and it died.

my 25-or-so chickens ate it

now there's one left.

Assuming that you're from Vermont, I'm guessing that it's an Imperial Moth.

Description, from the USGS website:

Imperial moth (Eacles imperialis [Drury])

Wing span: 3 1/8 - 6 7/8 inches (8 - 17.4 cm).

Identification: Females are larger than males. Upperside is yellow with pinkish brown to purple-brown patches, bands, and cell spots, and tiny brown spots scattered overall. Males have larger patches on the forewings than females, except for some subspecies pini males which have reduced purple and are mostly yellow.

i fucking hate moths. does anyone else ever get the REALLLLLLLY giant ones, they actually aren't months but they're like a foot wide and look like a moth. i wwant to personally kill every last one of those fuckers.

ummmmm...no

look at the imperial moths wings, there like serprate and slant up.

the giant moth of death's wings slant downward quick.

yaaa! I've seen Moths like the ones Lauren was describing, huuuge green fucking lunar moths. Crazy. I've seen one that was 8-9 inches and I nearly crapped myself the first time I saw one when I was pretty young.

im sorry but i have to agree and you have to either EAT IT or SELL IT ON EBAY cause someone will definately buy it

im not really sure what to do with it. it could be poisinous...but my best advice would probably be to eat it.

dude get some wd40 and a lighter right now and kell that bohimith. or catch it and battle it with onother enourmous insect, like a gian praying manits, that would be sick, but if you cant find one i would definatly light it on fire
