Gh3 flickering

Flickering in time lapses from non-constant exposures or in video mode from the AC power supply to the lights?

Depending on where in the world you are, change your shutter speed until it goes away.

Some times this is not possible (ie downtown Tokyo).
 
Yeah it's probably from the kinds of lights your shooting under. Where are you filming? In Southeast Asia shooting we ran into this a lot, trick for us was using a shutter speed in increments of 50 (50, 100, 200) you get the idea

ya sorry for notsaying but my problem was with lights, i was at shutter speed of 50 and there was still flickering so idk

AC power is supplied at 60Hz in North America, so shoot at intervals of 1/60 (1/60, 1/120, etc).

Or close to it.

If it were 50Hz (Europe), you'd shoot at intervals of 1/50th of a second.

Shouldn't really matter unless he was actually shooting 25p or 50p. Sounds like the lights you were around just sucked/were old or something.

You still haven't explained you situation... at all.

Why were you shooting 25p? Shoot 24p, you wont have any issues.

ok i said i shot at 25p

u said if you shoot at 24p you wont have any issues

i then checked my camera and realized i did in fact shoot at 24p, thus leading me to the conclusion that if i shot at 24p and there was still flickering your comment would is irrelavent.

do you understand that? is that too fucking hard for you to comprehend?

Heath is just saying that you didn't explain your problem well whatsoever; pretty accurate.

Won't the shutter speed matter more than the fps?

I think that as long as your shutter speed is not a multiple of the power supplied to the lights you should be good.

That being said, I think not all lights are gonna flicker at the frequency of the voltage being supplied to them.

So in summary, just fuck with your shutter speed in the future and you should find one that works.

You just suck at communication it's not my problem. If you were shooting at 24p it was probably just the lights you were using/the light where you were shooting.
