Gh2 hack, what are you using

What hacks are you using, what bit rate are they and what one would you recommend that is reliable with a good bit rate
 
What I do is keep some cheap 2GB SD cards with different hacks on them so I can switch it out for different situations. Most of the time I use Cake. Its completely reliable and the bit rates I believe are 66mbps in 24p and 44mbps in 60p. When I don't have to worry so much about reliability or card space, I use Quantum X, which is 100-154mbps I-frames. The quality is ridiculous but it doesn't play back in camera and a 16GB card holds like 4 min of footage.

Right now, mysteron. 170+ mbps intra 24p, but soon I will do some comparisons (personal, no charts) between it and some of the apocalypse now settings. the sports settings were decent too, but I find myself filming more at 24p and a little at hbr. The vbr settings look pretty cool as well. Lastly, I use the 32gb sandisk extreme, I need to get more. They are great, they can handle most hacks and play back most as well.
 
Lpowell's newest Flowmotion has been working well for me. High bitrates, in-camera playback, and reliable.
 
Better than Cake?

I'm using the newest version of the "cake" hack, it produces pretty great footage.
 
Just curious, I'm going to be getting my GH2 soon and was wondering what cards I should have between storing the hack and footage. Say I wanted to have a "Super" card, could I go with a 64 GB card, throw the best available hack on it, then have enough room for a decent amount of footage? Or is it worth it to buy 4 or 5, 16 gb cards and put average hacks on + footage?

OP I don't mean to threadjack, it seems you basically got your answer.
 
You don't need to keep the same card in for the hack to work, once it's installed, it's installed until you do another update.
 
Just wondering how to you have 2gb cards with diffrent hacks so you can change easly don't the files need to be named one inclriment higher that the one on it our camera
 
no my files are all named GH2__v11 and every time I put a different card in it updates.
 
When i had my gh2 i was shooting g with the most recent apocalypse boom hack. Verry stable and liked it alot. Only thing was in the cold the screen would show motion blur. But would not be there in the files!
 
think I'm still using mysteron 9b, though I did fool around with 2k mjpeg a little. Haven't shot much in a while, but I'm going to look around and see if I can find a new one I like that takes up less space. I'm working on an old project now, was shot on 80something mbps in HBR 30p, and it looks great so far (might just be the HBR mode of mysteron, or something else, I think I combined settings at one point)
