Getting to your mountain

45 mins to shawnee peakand 45 mins to sunday river.....but just because the entire route to SR is fresh paved backroads so i just go like 65 the whole way... =]

15 minutes if i gun it, its pretty nice.
sorry for the small thread jack, but reading this made me wonder, how much gas do we go through a season just for skiing? thats the expensive part of it, especially you all with the hour and a half or more commutes.

7 min to keystone, 17 to a basin, 25 to breck, 25 to loveland, 25 to copper, 35 to ski cooper, 40 to vail, 45 to beav, 55 to berthoud pass, little further to winter park.

1.5 to sunshine

2.5 to lake louise

3 to kicking horse and panorama

8 to big white

7 to revelstoke

and 20 min to the shitty Canada Olympic Park, where I work, and also home of the worlds largest half pipe

7 to Revy from Calgary? Seems a lot longer than it took me this year, only like 5.
I got a 2 hour drive/2.5 hour bus ride to Powder Kingor a 45 minute drive to my friends cabin at Purden, and that leaves a 2 minute walk to the lifts.

yeah actually 5 sounds probly a bit better, just last time i went it was with a ski club trip and a greyhound bus, but I think we took a longer way to avoid some of the sketchier highways. But damn I love revy, so much snow.

Silver Star- Walk out my back door

Big White- hour and a half

Red mountain- four hours drive and when im there a ride down the elivator and a 2 min walk

Im jealous.

45min to a hill that sucks.

5min to a hill that sucks even more and is the size of a landning (fo real).
