Getting to Bear?

So I'm moving from Chicago to Claremont for school in a week and got a dual mountain pass for Bear/Snow Summit. Is there a way I can get there without a car, or do I need to find some mobile friends?
 
you need to make friends with a car. i go to cal poly and live in pomona. i usally ride mt high because it is closer but bear is way better just get use to being the only skier at the hill
 
i didnt read this thred's title correctly, and was very interested to see how you were going to aquire a bear? i am very interested in that topic...
 
you def need a car, i've been ski9ing there for 13 years. You should hit up baldy if you get a sick powder day or the crest, just stuff on the side of the road. THe only thing is you have to make sure you get up there like first day cuz if its a big dump the roads get closed for a long time cuz the forest service isnt used to big dumps. Just make sure to take advantage of it cuz when it hits it goes off.
 


if you buy tickets before the season at ski dazzle they are

like $10 for baldy and you should get at least one ticket from the tgr movie at

your school. i have gone the last two years and it has been a lot

of fun. i hope they do a rail jam again.
