Getting Tired of Park Edits

There are the occasional ones that i enjoy because the skiers are innovative and unique but most of the

edits on here are of the park. And its getting boring after seeing the sames things being done over and

over again. I thoroughly enjoy the big mountain edits that are being put out but they come seldom.

Wouldnt ya say?

well i can see three types of edits come out, Big mountain, park and urban. Any others types you want to start seeing

So don't watch them then you fuckin pussy, just watch the big mountain edits you want to watch you bundle of sticks

Where does creative shit like ltc and real skifi fit in there? You know what I want to see? more tree/rock jibs.

Completely agree man, every once in a while I see a dope park edit...but I love all aspects of skiing and that does not go to say that the park edits that are put out on this site take a ton of skill.

I have to agree, park edits are boring ask fuck! I'm really into urban edits at the moment! Tons of features to get creative on!

For sure more tree and rock jibs.

In addition, I really want to see an edit that is all groomer shit. Like tricks off side hits, rollers, trees, cat tracks, general resort terrain. With a crowd of gapers being mindblown in every shot.

For me it all depends on the editing and filming. If its well edited and filmed most likely the skier is gonna be sick, regardlesd if there in the park

I see what you saying OP. I never get tired of Line Traveling Circus because of the creativity but shows like Salomon Freeski TV really put out top notch edits that totally blow park edits away.

Old school skate -type edits. Mad fisheyes and punk rock / skate punk. With some shenanigans mixed in.

Shits cool, I love that era and style. Gets you so hyped, and just a ton of fun.

aka Hot Lunch

Easily one of my favourite short movies/long edits. Just some dudes having fun all over the mountain.

NS was born from park edits, and people wanting to get better at skiing. You shouldn't have to be going pro or trying to post edits, everyone has to start somewhere.

This! There's also an edit Banks Gilberti made with his friend at their home mountain where that had no park when he was young. He does all te things they would do b/c of no park. It's sick

Yes. These two are sick. And also the faction collective s01 e01 blew me away. Park edits aren't boring if you know how to do them right

Okay, instead of going and filming in a readily accessible park with my friends and being proud of the edit I put out I'll go fly up to Alaska so I can ease your suffering that not everyone has a fucking heliski mountain as their home resort. People bust their ass to get edits out. Show a little respect.

I have a really good snowboarder friend who is basically a young Scott Stevens, he does the most innovative tricks I've seen anyone ever do at my hill and he makes me try figure out how to do his tricks on skis. The other day we were both going for stall spins on rails, half-assed miller flips, one-footies galore (foot plants and rails slides), late hop ons (straddled and side), alley-oops. But then he one upped the shit out of me by doing a 360 pop shuvit off a rail (no bindings). Anyways, the moral is get a unique boarder friend and he will lead the way to unique LTC type of things.

It takes more to stand out these days. With so many edits out there you need to have creative editing/tricks/filming/music.

Check out "Alek Lockhart" on vimeo, he's a friend of mine who started skateboarding and then got into skiing and the style of edits stays the same. Him and his crew ski at Hyland in Minneapolis, they don't hit jumps and are really aggressive on rails.

Skiing does'doesn't have to be innovative to be fun and most people don't want to run around like a bunch of goons like LTC, I dont even watch LTC I think they are a bunch of annoying guys to be honest. I would rather watch a dale talkington edit or some hood ass edits any day. Sure park edits where people do some crazy shit are cool but I get pumped to watch people throw down any way they can and I have for years. Honestly if you dont get pumped on park edits move away from it. Ive seen a cork 7 thrown thousands of times and I still get pumped every time someone gets ill with it. You dont have to love all aspects of skiing, its preference. Mine is hood ass big ass baggy clothes with some tweaked out grabs and shit being thrown down. If you like watching big mountain edits then watch em, but shut the fuck up and quit trolling basically what Newschoolers is about.

If making edits isn't fun to you you're probably doing it wrong. From reading this it sounds like you have a terrible time skiing and take it way too seriously

Idunno man, I feel like the park edits are mostly from a bunch of dudes who are stoked that they're skiing and trying new shit, and that's rad. Ya don't have to watch them if you don't like them

I think that's how it is with any individual sport. Many people get this "fuck you, I'm the shit" attitude when they know they're good.

As much as I agree with you, it sort of goes hand in hand with what is most convenient. It's much easier to get to a location with rails and boxes and jumps at a resort than it is to access the back country, let alone find a good spot to get a killer line or even build a bc booter. That being said, I still can't pull myself away from any park, urban, or back country edit, whether its good, bad, or anywhere in between. Kind like the sex comparison; even if it's bad, it's still pretty good.

that was a fun edit to watch SAGA ! thks for posting , i enjoyed that one quite abit actually, some of the " i RIDE PARK CITY' episodes are so so in my opinion, tho that one was well done and really fun to watch fo sho !

Urban is creative in the atmosphere it is filmed it, there for it is more entertain. Park edits are still the norm and people will continue to keep posting some banger edits
