Getting jobs at Whistler Summer and Winter

Well Im out in Canada this season and want to return in June for the summer and winter season up at Whistler. Basically coming from the UK you can only get a one time only visa for a year, unless you get a sponsored one. So id like to use up my one time visa to go to whistler as they sponsor returning staff, and will save me the pain in the ass it is trying to get a sponsored one year after year. Plus super sick mountain cant go wrong right?

My gf is coming with me and I have CSIA Level 2 and race coach and probably get my freestyle and work towards my 3 this year, she will have level 1 possibly 2 and the ski patrol oec thing by then too.

Was just wondering how hard is it roughly to get a job at whistler, i hear they hire 3000 instructors each season, i know some of these might be returning staff ( does seem excessive though :S )

Are there a lot of other jobs avaliable in the area that if we turned up in june would be able to pick up easily?

Any help, preferably from people who have done seasons there been around a while would be really helpful.

so you decided against that little interior mountain?

and sorry i cant help you, i dont know much about the topic. somebody help this guy out!

Nah I'm still going to interior bc this winter but planning on doing summer and following winter on a year visa.

Loads of different issues with visas and immigration and kinda need to get a job for at least 9 months on a specified list of jobs so I can emmigrate and was just wondering if anyone knew of many options around whistler that would cover me for that time period.

The list of jobs I can qualify under is:
http://www.aved.gov.bc.ca/provincialnominee/strategicoccupations/entrylevel.htm

Now as an Instructor Im sure I can qualify under 6442 Outdoor Sport and Recreational Guides but that wouldnt make my 9 month quota. I really want to move to Canada so understand I might have to do a job I dont really want to do so I can move and then return to skiing after that although under those guidelines theres quite a few resort type jobs I can hopefully get in through and still live near the mountain.

Or I will have to get a summer job and then work the ski season through the winter but that fucks over my chances to immigrate which I really want to do.

Was just wondering how easy is it to get those sort of jobs for more than the usual seasonal time period.
