Hey everyone, i'm kind of new to making music but i wanted to start making my own house/progressive house and maybe at some point dubstep. What do you guys recommend i get for getting started? i heard the Kaossilator is fucking sick, but i feel as though the Kaossilator pro is way better. I'm just looking for an entry level set up that i can build off of. I really dont know anything, so please help out! thanks

true, but he'd probably get more people who know what they're talking about in media & arts at another site

The best piece of advice you can possibly listen to is that you are going to waste hours making crappy tracks that you don't like, wasting time by not knowing how to use your gear, while seriously considering never opening your software ever again. Push through this, and you will be rewarded.

I used to use fruity loops, reason, some virtual turntable settups, and some other programs.

Had people convinced that I was a legit house dj. bwahahahaa.

But seriously it's fun to waste time but you really are just wasting time
