Getting Into College

I really want to get into Montana State or some other college's in Vermont. How tough is it to get into college? What kind of grades do you need? Right now I dont have the best grades(A's B's and C's) but I go to one of the best high schools in New York State. I want to major in Film and Photography. Im thinking about taking a year off after high school and moving to Montana for a year so the tuition drops in price. Any Suggestions??

 
I got my acceptance letter to Montana State a coupla' days ago. Its relly easy to get in. If you meet one of the four requirement below, you are automatically in. No question/

- SAT of 1080

- ACT of 21

- Top 50% of class

- A 2.5 GPA

At least its clost to that.

It's all about SATs, lots of people get into scholls with their SAT score alone.

im from montana, and there is not much to ski around msu. the closest is bridger bowl.

Come on, they let anyone into college these days. Just get good grades in your exams, and like the other guys said, check out what else is required and try to get some extra stuff that will make you stand out from others.

i dont know if i agree with lauren either.. Every college is different especially depending on the major. Larger colleges will focus heavily on numbers (gpa, sat) while smaller private schools will focus on extracuriculars, sports, recommmendations, etc... So it all depends, you can't really make a general statement like that.

those requirements are sooooooooooooo low. lol
