Getting homework done

Has anyone figured out a system of getting your homework done, and still getting plenty of skiing on the weekend?

 
it's all about budgeting your time. when i was in college for example, second year i had class 8:30 am-12:00, i'd ski 12:30-4:30, homework/labs/whatever 6-9 and then drink 9-2am. worked pretty good except not much sleep. sunday i'd ski all day and go to bed early.

it was a hard lifestyle but someone has to do it.

we have block scheduling at our school which means you have 4 entire classes in half a school year and 4 new classes the next semester...what I do is take all academics first semester and then all slacker/elective classes (video communications, art 2, rec games, mixed media)...I never have any homework second half of the year (the part you can ski in) so I can ski whenever I want...I RULE hahaha

I some how manage to pull of a 72% average with skiin 3 days a week, horse back riding 4 days a week and the amount of time I spend on here...Spares are my new best friend at school...

I always get most of my work done at school, or on friday night so I can ski saturday and sunday. but then again... I have no life.

that's a badass college schedule roswel, I'd like to have something like that. reminds me of that freeze guys quote... 'from now on I'm going to work for 8 hours, party for 8 hours, and sleep for 8 hours.'

ya it was pretty sick. see the thing is i went to school for aviation (i'm a pilot). in second year class was in the mornig and flying in the afternoon. however in the winter of 1997-1998 we had so much snow that all the flying was cancelled like every day.....sooooooo...we would ski. it snowed so much that a couple of times the resort had to close down cause a: the road there was snowed out and b: the groomers couldn't keep up with snow and would actually get stuck.

it was awesome.

haha, I jus don't do my homework. Its that dam ADD. Hard to do any work when the huckdoll keeps busting those dam flat 5s all the fricken time.

do it all monday morning before school starts, thats what basically everyone does here. Everyone sits in the gym and does their homework. sometimes it gets pretty hilarious at how many people are sitting there.

Turning is for when stuff gets in your way.

Homework assignments only count for like 5% of the year, so just do the homweork that actually counts ( Essays, presentations etc.), and make sure you do well on tests. BUt iF your teacher decides to give you like 5 questions on a chapter in novel or something, Ignore that, because it is worth nothing. And if you arent in Grade 12, do no homework at all, becuase Grade 12 is the only year that counts. I ski 6 days a week, and I am getting a 80% average.

Dude, do correspondence school. I did that last year in Mammoth and it was the best existence I've ever know. Getting up at 5:30am and getting all my work done for the day. Then I could ski the rest of the day. Just don't every do correspondence when there's no skiing, otherwise you won't have any modivation to get it done. That happened to me and that's why I'm here in feakin' Eastern ontario as opposed to the French Alps. DAM DAM DAM DAM DAM DAM...

i just do night skiing obviously after school, its the only thing.

I LOVE that idea of block scheduling by taking all the important stuff first sememster than second semester take slacker courses that dont have hw so you can ski.. brillinat. thats my college plans right there

You have to either sacrifice a friday night or a sunday night for homework if you want to ski all weekend. That's what I do, and it is working out pretty well so far. I get in about 2-3 days of skiing a week, and I have a 3.9.

 
Yeah i hate fuckin private school i have a study first thing every monday morning so its all good. but other than that i dont get my homework done

i try to do it in other classes, but i always miss on what the teacher is lecturing about, so then i fuck up in that class, so i just:

8-3 school

3-6 homework

6-10 ski

10-11 hot tub

LD CREW REPRESENT!!!
 
lets see....work as hard and quickly as possible in your free period. that's how I survive it all. And if it runs over I do it AFTER skiing.

well, not doing it could be the answer... but thats just me, and my grades are already messed up as it is :-(... but what I try to do is budget it in between the periods of not doing much, and talking online, and skiing...

my system is preaty easy... I don't do any homework. I have a very good visual memory so when i see something on the board or read something in the book I understand it and remember it. I have never studied once in my life, yet get high marks on tests (usually in the 80% range). In some classes like Physics it's hard because there are tons of formulas that are all really close to the same just slightly different letters and stuff, but in math and history and other shit like that it's super easy... I was getting 94% in math this year.

you guys are really lucky, the closest hill to me is calabogie peaks (up near ottawa) its 2 hours away, and im lucky to get to go there every second weekend. Damn I wish i lived near a hill.

on the weekends I ski each day fri.sat.sund.

then late at night on sunday I finish all of my homework. but then again I'm in grade 8. so it doesnt really matter now.

jon123, you are a fucking idiot, pure and simple. in my opinion, you have to work hard at being dumb to get below a 70 average, freshman year, i got high almost every day and got a 3.2 still.

As for homework, try doing it in the air, it is super wicked fly.
