Getting hit while filming

I'm not sure if this video has been posted yet, as the search bar didn't turn up anything, but it's still funny as hell.

My question to you is, has this or something of this nature ever happened to you while filming?

Yeah, actually last weekend I was shooting with my friends in the park. We were the only people around and we were skiing each feature and stopping to film. We all stopped at the top of the channel gap you can see in this photo:

I skied down and set up in the middle of the feature to get the shot you see above. As I signaled my friends to drop a kid skied down from above them and cut them off. He came blasting down toward me but I wasn't worried because he was looking straight at me and there were like five options on the feature that he could have taken without going anywhere near me. I kept staring into his mirror lens crowbars as he bombed down and hit the left jump just a little bit diagonally so that he came right at me I was too shocked to move as he came flying at me, his skis on a level with my face, at the last second he pulled a tiny bit of a shifty so that he missed me by what felt like about three inches. As he rode off I just laughed in disbelief. My friends came down and hit the feature and I got the above shot. Then at the bottom he was waiting in the lift line. He tried to call me out as a gaper standing cluelessly in the landing, saying he didn't see me till he was in the air. We called his bluff and told him he had snaked us, I also didn't believe the part about him not seeing me since i was looking right into his goggles for the whole run up. Then, next run we are getting set to film the same feature and he comes up short on the knuckle of the jump before and tears a heal piece out.

TL;DR a kid snaked us and almost killed me, he then tried to blame it on me, next run he tore a heal piece out of his ski.

No way!! This is my home mountain, and the snowboarder filming is my roommate. He was on the lip to film me, and was going to drop down the landing and follow me as I dropped. The snowboarder in the air snaked me and did not realize how much he carved off the lip.. Total accident, everyone was okay, the one being filmed had a bloody nose.

Luckily I've never been hit, but one time when I was helping a friend setting up a shot, he had rented a Phantom Flex with Angenieux lens so we were being super careful all day, several other friends were also there helping.

Then suddenly out of nowhere some gaper kid comes by, takes a tiny amount of air of the take-off ramp for a massive tree log grind and rushed towards us and fucking sprayed the camera.

The kid was speeding away, and none of us had their skis on so there was a scramble to get on but there was no need. One of those old local's in a bright 80's onesie with 400 yard long skis who had been watching us for a while had taken the kid down and was now scolding at him in thick French with a dialect I couldn't comprehend. Swell fellow.

Camera was thankfully fine, thanks to my patented trashbag+UV filter heavy weather protection system.

I always day if you're not scaring the rider you're not getting close enough...

I've had some scares but I've only had to bail on a shot once or twice usually in control

im so tired of these comments… he panicked and tried to jump to the side, you can clearly see this in the video. but since he had his board on he slipped out and his board came up. If he ducked or didn't move, matt (the one in the air), wouldve taken out the filmers knee and they wouldve both been fucked. instead he jumped and the only thing that happened was a little bloody nose..

hahaha when I was filming with my friend Ethan the other week I started doing this swoop under the jumps while follow camming and I'd go under him as he jumped. On one of the backflips he said he swears I was less than 2 feet from his skis and he thought he was going to land on me.

I somehow have never gotten hit but that's why you have to be quick on your feet!Definitely had a bunch of close calls especially with fisheyes. I love the eheath death video, classic!
