Getting hit in the throat

playing football this kid ran full out and still armed my throat. its all red and hurts like shit. my adams apple hurts like shit. i cant sing high. its only been like 15 minutes. i can talk though.

any ideas? anyone had this happen. it hurts like a bitch.
 
i got hit in basketball and i couldnt swallow for like 20 minutes. but i kept playing like a true gangsta. just dont talk or anything and i will be fine
 
i took a hockey ball to the throat from like 2 feet away, knocked me down and i couldnt really breath for like 30secs, after that it just really hurt
 
heres a good story about someone gettin hit in the throat, in gym class we play hockey in our field house, these curtain things come down around the basketball court to make it like a rink type thing, so a lot of the time people just shoot the puck cross court to get it on to the other side, so theres this girl, whos not very atheletic, so she just stands in the corner of the court, so a kid on the hockey team takes a fuckin slapshot cross court and she takes it in the jugular, then starts making like choking sounds and falls over, possibly the funniest thing ive ever seen.
 
who was it? were they in your grade?

ive heard funnier things from gym class though. someone got a shot with a lacrosse ball right in the face and broke their nose, so im pretty sure we're not playing lacrosse anymore. also someone broke someone elses ribs or collarbone last year too while playing capture the flag i think.

back to the thread, i used to get hit in the helmet in football and my throat would kill and i couldnt talk for a little, but it goes away soon i think
 
At indoor lax last year, kid got me in the throat with a wrap check, my voicebox ended up getting bent out of shape, cause it went back and hit my vertebrae. Couldn't talk for a couple days and it swelled up so I couldn't breathe or swallow (while I was in the ER, luckily).
 
I got hit in the vein that is on your throat once with a heavy weight airsof BB going like 500 fps from a sniper rifle, It make me black out for a split second
 
Back In my minor hockey league days I was the go to guy. though i was small for my age I would wrastle down bohemith kids twice my size in front of the net. The coach noticed this and beng an ex NHL'er he took me to a private practice. Scrumming with some local men in the redzone of the ice, the coach sent a fullfledged slapshot at the net. I was only helpless as the puck slammed my throat. All I remember Is making a groggy groan and falling to the ice. I started flopping around like a marrionette as a huddle of people stood around me, making me feel as though this was some sort of sacrificial cerimony. The coach who had nearly brought me to my doom dove into the scrum, screaming crys of guilt. His military brush cut scratched my lifless face. He looked deep into my eyes and kept saying, "don't die on me rory!" thats all I really remeber. apparently it was a real nail biter.
 
in 6th grade 3 kdis got their noses broken playing gym floor hockey. now they use a sock wrapped in duct tape for a ball
 
This dumbass kid I know was standing at my friends with us after school one days months and months ago before I was done with shool. And we on the sidewalk outside his house, he is like 3 houses away from the schhol, and there are kid jogging for Cross Country. So he clothes lines the one kid for no reason so hard and the kid is keeled over holding his throat crying and shit. A highschool kid.

Then I got a video on my phone of 2 kids boxing at the same house, and the one kid was Herbert the kid who clotheslined the one kid days before. Well he got punched right in the throat when boxing such a funny video.
 
You should relax with your singing, I guess it's normal....just wait a couple of days, and if you still cannot sing, just go see a doc or something like that.
 
on a related not i heard a story about a hockey player who got his throat cut from another players skate. he was drowing in his own blood so they had to do a tracheotomy while he was on the ice. thracheotomy is where they put a tube via incision in your windpipe so that you breathe out of your neck instead of your mouth or nose.
 
Bah, I've got one for you...

You know those really old SCOTT ski poles? Well I don't buy ski poles, I borrow old ones from my parents or from friends that don't use them anymore and in this case it was my parents'. Anyways, I'm skiing gates not paying attention during one of our ski team pratices and I just got tossed onto my back because I accidentally pole planted and the pole handle when right into my throat. I could breathe, talk, all there was was gagging/ gasping for air. I just skiied for the lodge, sat there, teammates came in and asked what was up and I tried explaining it to them with little words as possible. You know that feeling you get when you get hit in the throat, that gagging feeling? I had that for about 30mins after I could actually talk again. The pole had a 90 degree bend near the base and the whole pole had a nice curve to it which made for a cool story to tell.
 
this one time maybe 6 or 7 years back, i was shovelling the driveway with one of those giant bucket scoop things - it's got a metal bar that serves as a handle - and i, for some strange reason, was resting it in an upright position when it was full of snow and the metal bar fell back on me and smoked me right in the throat. i coughed blood, it hurt for a few days, that was that. scary experience though, and really stupid. i got hit in the throat with the handlebar of a giant shovel..
 
a while ago i was having a pillow war with my friends in the basement and i put my fist up to my throat using my arm to block the pillow and the pillow just hit my arm and my fist went into just hit my throat. it hurt
 
one time my friend yelled throat chop, and i wasn't really paying attention. he katate choped me in the throat really hard and i fell over and couldn't breath very well and kept gagging. its not a cool story like you guys's but its the best one i have
 
my buddies and i were at the bowdoin/ middlebuy NESCAC hockey championship the other night, which was sick. The best part was my buddy taking a slapshot in the side of the neck, and it rebounding 3 seats down to land in the box of pizza on my lap. legit. fucker made my buddy drop his soda though.
 
i was taking a nap on my chair and my roommate threw a shoe at me from accross the room and it hit me in the thraot, shittiest way i have ever woken up
 
yet again, i have a band. vocals. thanks for reading.

my voice is still pretty weird. kinda like child molester/ 3 packs a day, but its getting better
