Why would you want some girls number who likely won't text you back and definitely wouldn't answer a call?

I never ask until establishing adequate eye contact and/or flirtatious conversation. Asking the right girls builds confidence.

My move, and this has never failed probably because its so non-confrontational, is to open my phone to the add contact page and just casually slide it to them. They'll grin and probably blush and if I feel the need to say sonething I jokingly say "because I would be upset with myself later if I didn't ask".
 
But what do you say when you text them? That's weird and semi-pussy like depending on how you approach it.
 
In all honesty I usually meet said girl, friend her on facebook, talk to her on facebook, and then say something along the lines of

"Hey I gotta go but text me if you wanna?_____________ (insert your phone number here)"

that way you get to know them before you ask, AND, you give them the choice. if they text you then you made the right move, if they don't then move on to another girl haha
 
Good answer right here. Talk to the girl for as long as you can when you meet her and dont screw shit up. Then friend her on facebook and proceed from there. Hasn't failed yet
 
well see thats the problem. i rarely get the time to get to know the girl enough in person to the point where i'd wanna give her my number/get her number.

believe me if i ever had the time to get to know the girl i'd skip the facebook part but usually thats not the case.
 
Do what I do. Black out at a bar, wake up the next morning and look at who you tried to sleep with via text message the night before.
 
With guys: This. ^ Except I get a text the next evening to a number I didn't know, and there was a previous text, his name and where I met him. We're getting drinks this week.

So, just ask, and if they're drunk and forget easily (me) send them a text, if not, just text whats up. Girl's like some initiative. Do it, you won't.

I've found the easiest way is typically to ask the girl.

Don't just walk up to a random girl and ask (unless that's your style and you have a lot going for you, then go for it.)

Chat her up for a bit, and if things seem to be going decently, ask her. She either gives it to you, or doesn't.
 
Tape your phone to your boner and have the contact info ready. Then pull it out and stare her straight in the face. Works every time most of the time.

Walk up to them tell them they're cute talk to them for another five minutes ask for their number. Back in Boulder I actually dressed up in a tall tee and was using Newschoolers pick up lines to get girls on a bet. Next time I go to UVM a newschooler with a camera should meet up and film it and then post it here because I got at least five numbers I guarantee I can do the same thing. I just put my reputation on the line get at me. /claim
 
This. If a guy has the balls to ask me for my number, I rarely cold-sholder them. It's not like giving them a number means you're committing your life to them.
 
From my experience "hey I don't usually do this but I think your really cute/pretty and was wondering if I could get your number?" Works well. Im 2/2 using it
 
a friend of mine actually had succes with this last week....

basically you just dress up like a pandabear, then approach your victim and tell them that your species is going extinct and ask her if she wants to mate with you in order to save the species !

Give the girl in question a spare phone and tell her that you will call her. Then leave. She can't really do anything other then keeping the phone you gave her and wait for your call.

Also if you are trying to pick up chicks in college this is how you do it.

1. first day of class pick a girl you think is attractive, not the hottest chick, but a attractive girl and sit next to her.

2. If day 2 of class she sits there again you are golden. Now shes got her "seat" cause they don't usually move and you have yours.

3. Let some time go by, a couple weeks. Skip a class, ask what you missed that day. Now you broke the ice and have talked to her. She might start talking to you then or you talking to her more. Just let it play out a bit.

4. First test! Ask if she wants to study, or wait till the test is over and ask how she did, if bad, offer to help her study, if good request you need help studying.

5. Finally get dem digits cause she wants to study with you.

6. Just study, maybe flirt a bit, but only if it looks like shes into you. Then you have her #, have hung out and it still just social. You aren't in friend zone or anything but you are in.

7. Start casually texting her trying to get to know her a bit, this will lead into class room chatting and possible request to hang out.

8. If she doesnt ask you to hang out you ask her. But go out, ask to do something with a group not just both of you.

9. Then you ask to do a just you two, maybe a movie? BOOM you got a fucking date.

Yea it took you about 6 weeks to get a date. But you probably just landed the second hottest girl in class and it was well worth it. BTW This is a great way to get a girlfriend not just a fuckbuddy. Depends what you are into, this works just put in the time.
 
Wow man, this is waayyyy too long. I would expect that shit to land you in the friendzone more often than not.

The beginning was good though. Like you said, first day of class find an attractive girl and sit next to her. However, there's no need to do all that next shit, just start talking to her right then and there, introduce yourself.
 
Go for the gusto day 2 then. But if you are shy and have no prior experience picking up/talking to girls there is the step by step process. And it never landed me in the friendzone. Shit works, long process - yes, get laid - yes.
 
lol couple of weeks to break the ice? why dont you just sit down next to her and first thing you say is "im going to cheat off of you this semester" and smile. ice broken. ask for her name, make convo, maybe in a couple of days get her number. also, if youre going up to random girls, what i found works is if you basically goyou: hi, youre really cute and i had to come over to you and say hi. do you know what speed dating is?

her: yes

you: name a bunch of things you like and try to be funny about it. then tell her its her turn

her: if she freezes up and is like i dunno what to say, ask her things about her or something

just have fun with it man, be confident and take initiative and after a couple minutes of conversation, ask her for her number. you probably wont get every girl you try, but more often than not girls like it when guys come up to them randomly because so few guys actually have the balls to do it.
