Getting caught with your 6 months up? (Driving)

What up NSer's! I live in Oregon, recently got my license and I'm so stoked about. I want to drive friends and stuff this summer, but my 6 months won't be up by then. I'll only be at about 5 months.

Anyone have stories about getting pulled over, or what cops have done to people driving before their 6 months? Any good excuses or tricks? Will they really care if I'm driving with a single friend a 5 months? I really just want to drive with the gf places.

Thanks NSer's!

Oh and to those who don't know what the 6 month rule is, basically you aren't allowed to drive more than 3 people who are under 21 until you've had your license for 6 months.

This rule was put in place in MN the year after I got my license so i'm not sure, but can't you drive with family members? Tell them they're your cousin

i know tens of people that have been pulled over with friends inside the 6 month window and nobody has gotten a ticket. all verbal warnings. its a joke.

It's immediate family, so Idk if they would quiz my friend about our address or things like that if I said they were my brother/sister.

Cops were fat dicks where I lived but usually they will only cite you if you do multiple things wrong, then there is the possibility your license will get revoked

Same. I know multiple people who have been pulled over for going 30 in a 25, and for jaywalking... it's crazy.

Last thing I want is to get my license taken away until I'm 18 and have skyhigh insurance for 10 years after.

I knew a few people in high school who got caught and they lost their licenses for 6 months, then had to start their 6 months over.

It's pretty easy to not get pulled over, just don't be an idiot. They can't pull you over if you haven't broken any laws.

I got pulled over, late on valentines day, with someone in the car, and my 6 months weren't up, and the cop just asked if I was drinking (I wasn't) then told me to have a nice night, and don't swerve again. They really don't seem to care at all, unless you actually get into an accident or something. I drove the day after I got my license with friends /claim

more then 3 people?

thats not bad at all, you couldn't have more then 1 when i got my license.

how many times are you going to be driving more then 3 people around?

This.

Its a good law because it will make you pay attention and drive carefully when you have a car full of kids and just got your license instead of worrying about hitting a bowl or changing your music and speeding and shit cause driving fast and erratically can actually be pretty fun when you are a youngun.

I remember my first joy ride when I was 15 in my moms car. IDK how I didn't crash. But I realized I was a moron when I got home after going 100 mph on the street next to mine and seeing a cop speed reader (there was no cop) so every time after that I joyrided my parents shit I drove properly.

Sorry let me rephrase that, my bad.

After 6 months I can't drive more than 3 people. Before 6 months I can't drive anyone at all unless they're immediate family. Terribly phrased on my part, sorry.

You are only going to get in trouble for it on top of whatever else you'd be getting in trouble for if you are pulled over. Obviously if you get a flat or something and break down cause your in a shitty car your pals will need to scram.

Cops need to pull you over for a reason.

The speeding ticket you get for going 20 over the limit will be a bigger deal than driving with kids. Or the fact you have .03% BAC and would pass a breathalizer if you were 21 but aren't and had kids in the car.

Worry about not getting popped for those kind of things bro which means drive carefully.

As I said its not a bad law if you ignore it but are careful when doing so it will make you a better driver and help you avoid bad habits when people are in the car with you (showing off speeding, smoking, not looking at the road etc etc etc.)

If you have a mangina and are too scared to drive everyone around and will be lame about it you shouldn't have started this thread for attention its obnoxious.

Dude, I'm just trying to find excuses, peoples experiences in the past with driving before there 6 months, and things like that. I want to see if it is a big risk if I get pulled over or not and if cops really care. It's not that I'm scared and want this thread for attention, I can't find anything about this and want to see if it's a big deal.

I drove without insurance for about 3 months and then again without a license or insurance for 4 months. As long as you play it safe you should be fine. #wegotabadassoverhere

me and my friends were driving we had four in the car we got pulled over for doing 80 in a 55 they were motorcycle cops. one of my friends had a harley shirt one the other had a ducati shirt on we started to talk about their motorcycles and how we all rode dirt bikes and they let us go with a warning just be cool with them and they will be cool with you

so back in sophmore year of highschool, i had just got my permit, so i took my dads lambo and picked up 4 hot babes. then i went onto the highway and went 240mph, thats when the police came, they tried to catche me but was i was just 2 fast 4 them. the hot babes were so impressed by my driving that they showed me their boobs, this was all while still going 240, then i hit a speed boost into a jump and crashed into the police headquarters and everyone involved died.

unless you tell them I'm almost positive they're not going to give a shit, or you have a packed car with like 8 kids in there. you're fine haha

Once I drove 7 kids in a nissan rogue with 5 seats after having my license for 2 months, anything is possible if you believe in yourself.

The biggest thing i was worried about when i was in your situation was when i drove by a cop with plate scanners on the front/back of his car i figured he could see who was driving when it scanned my plate, but then i realized that it was registerred in my dads name not mine so if they did scan it it would say my dads name. so pretty much if the car isn't registerred in your name you're good, they can't really pull you over without reason, unless you drive like an idiot then there is no helping you

Don't speed, don't drive like an asshole. Respect cars and respect the privilege of driving them. That will help keep you from getting pulled over and in trouble in this case and also keep you from getting in trouble for being an idiot.

Or drive fast and stupid, get tickets, crash a car or 2, and possibly hurt people. If that's what you're into.

My friend made me lay in the back seat and my other friend in the trunk so we didn't get got, it was super sketch

One guy I know drove around 9 people in his car the day after he got his license. It was a 5-seat Volvo... so dont do that op, and if you do, dont get pulled over.
