When packing up and booking it isn't an option, what works best?

Every time I've gotten busted before, the cops have just been like, "Okay, break up your jump and get out of here." But last night, this douchebag was acting like he might give us tickets. My friends gave IDs and their real info. I gave a fake name and a fake birthday that would have made me barely 16 (I'm 18) and said I didn't have an ID. He took their IDs and went back to his car to check the info...it was taking forever so I started freaking out, and thought if he found out my "identity" didn't exist, I could pretend to have a concussion or something...but everything went fine. Now my friends are shitlisted, and I'm clear.

Was I just lucky? What's the best way to do it? Cooperate? Make up an alias? Play stupid? Start speaking another language? Run? Bribe them? The cute girl routine? Say you're doing your senior project and cry about how you won't be able to have enough footage to make your video so you won't be able to graduate high school, etc., etc.? Say you have permission from the landowners? Tranquilize them from behind? Haha.

...skater friends have been highly successful with the alias thing, but it seems risky. So yeah, what works and what doesn't?

the key is if there are cops to act like your doin nothing wrong, like dont even notice the cops at first. Then say you didnt know it was wrong to do this, and so just act like its nothing that bad.
 
go officer this is actaully a good thing if i wasnt doing this i could be drunk driving, smoking weed or god forbid having unprotected sex
 
wen youre with a lot of good friends, make it fun, and run away as fast as you can because u know youre already busted
 
Doing the alias thing is risky because if they catch it, they will straight up take you in.

It's best to be as honest as you can, but a little white lie doesn't hurt depending on the situation. The school project thing is good. Never play too stupid, they might take advantage of the situation and get you for something you're not even guilty of.
 
the worst thing to do is to give them a fake name...that pisses them right off and if I'm not mistaken, it is a criminal charge (not just a ticket). If they do ask you to tear down your jump, be polite about it and you'll more than likely get off.
 
^ haha, thats actually pretty brilliant and could work. but yeah, we told them it was our "Healthy Addiction" and the chief of police was like "you call that healthy? (as he smoked a cigarette) and i was like, well, we aren't smoking, or drinking. Then after 4 other cop cars... a shit ton of pictures, we got Criminal Trespassing warnings and are banned from that campus. But we'll be back. such good rails there.
 
I think you should act like its not wrong and say its a school project. I'm young and short so I put on the "I'm little and don't know any better" expression
 
jea i hate when they take ur ids its only happend to me once on the sickest rail and the cops were flipping. but we acted all nice and they told us never to come on the propery again. but yeah whats phonetically mean
 
haha yeah i like act like your doing nothing wrong idea, seems the most logical and if they truly think you believe that you didnt know then they might be alittle more caring about it?
 
Well in this case, it was a rail that had been de-nubbed, and there were rather conspicuous signs that said "No Skateboarding No Rollerblading No Snowboarding."

And acting stupid or doing the school-project thing won't keep them from writing down your info...

How much are criminal tresspassing tickets? Have any of you actually gotten caught doing the alias thing?
 
hahaha...yeah i don't think the fake identity was the best idea kristie. and yeah, this is slc, so there are signs that say "no snowboarding" and no cop is going to fall for "oh we were just skiing, not snowboarding." that won't work. but we were just really respectful and cooperative and the guy let us go with a warning.

doug and i also gave some serious consideration to killing the cop though. we decided against it....this time.
 
ive only gotten busted once, and it was a security officer so i talked shit and got in my car and drove away.

But what do you say when its a school project???? that really doesnt make much sense you know???
