Getting Back in shape for ski season.

Well after my first 2 days at Mt Snow, i realized how out of shape I was and how much that mtn kicked my ass. Even though I did really well for the 1st day in the park I was dead afterwards. SO, to help whip my ass into shape I just started a gym membership at a local gym to work on cardio, and I started doing a lot of yoga type stretches to help my core. Anyone else doing anything like this to prep for a good season?
(btw My major is excercise science + health promotion + Physical therapy, and I am out of shape Ha)

i would do alot of leg work cause my thigs are usually wats hurtin me after i would do like squats and lunges and things to strengthen ur legs thats wat i do and it helped me especially on powder days
 
im working out for baseball 3 days a week and i ran xc in the fall. in very good shape, to bad the biggest park near me is a few 10 ft boxes
