Getting a new Phone.

Is it worth buying a Iphone? They seem really super mega awesome, But do they easily break as easy as people say? Also been looking at the Samsung Galacy x cover. What do you think ns?

i was in the same situation, i wanted an iphone or a driod. but i heard the iphone broke easily so i was wary of buying it. but of all the people with iphones i know only a few have broken it cause theyre dumb. plus with a case theyre pretty strong. and i still wish i got the iphone rather than the droid

im not an apple snob but i own an iphone. everyone that i know that has an android based phone will have some type of problem with it. about half of the people i know have iphones and to my knowledge, noone has complained about any type of functional issue with them. I love mine and IMO i think they are superior. they are fragile little things and when mine is out of my lifeproof case i carry it like it is an egg. Get a lifeproof case and it will be bulletproof.

iPhone. If you aren't stupid it won't crack. Having said that I cracked mine by going to put it in my pocket and missing. Fell right to a concrete sidewalk.

It's funny because my buddy needed a new phone, had to decide between droid and iPhone. Everyone else in our group of friends told him droid, I was tellin him the iphone.

he went with the droid, now he wishes he had gotten an iphone lol. he now claims he can't wait to get the iphone 5 along with myself. shoulda listened...

Apple makes fantastic gadgets and other shit, I just hate their PCs. go with Apple

Seems like im getting a iphone. Got a good deal with Iphone 3GS + 1 year free Mobile Surf for 2195 kr . 1 USD is 7 kr i think

i have a android right now and i HATE it, i can't wait till i get back to america to get an iPhone and get rid of t-mobile.

But I have a question, if i were to buy an iPhone now cause it seems like there was a discount. Would i be able to hold off on activating it till i got back to the states in september? Or could i turn it on and start putting music on it but hold off on activating it? I googled it and emailed verizon and there reply was completely useless.

I have a WP7, it absolutely kills it. Better than my old iPhone 4. The app market is getting bigger too.

iPhones are overrated IMO but, they are super, super good phones nonetheless.

Just keep in mind, Iphones crack like mad. I was working one day and then I took the Iphone out of my pocket and it was cracked. Didn't drop it or anything, I don't even know what happened...

not to mention they are hiring big banks to help them "evaluate their options"

i really want a iphone cuz my droid sucks, it got mad waterdamage from about 2 days of spring skiing while it was in my pocket, so weaakk

This video is a sneak peak of the operating system, the hardware is not final

They will release new blackberry 10 phones with keyboards later on.

iPhones are fine durability wise, as long as you put a case on them. You want to do this anyways because the glass front and back is very slippery and you will drop it if you don't. You don't need an otterbox or anything else expensive, any thin thing to absorb the shock of a drop a little will do. I would, however, recommend waiting for the iPhone 5 to come out in the fall before purchasing one, or your iPhone will pretty much be outdated right out of the box.

galaxy sIII. that phone is siiiiick. i wanna get it.

but if you're gonna get an iphone, you mise well wait till the fall and get the new one when it comes out.

i've always been a android user, because their phones are technically better, and have bigger screens. i'm waiting till the new iphone comes out to see what the screen is going to be like. if its big, then i'll get that.. i just cant go from a 4.5 inch screen to tiny iphone screen.

this. I fucking love my phone. and I've had it for almost a year, and it works perfectly, nothing wrong. I try to take care of it as much as I can. I'd recommend a Lifeproof case, but if its too expensive get and otterbox, they are really good too.

If you know how to change settings on your phone, get an android. If youre a fucking idiot, cant change settings and just want a phone that runs the same as it comes out of the box get the iphone.

I had the Iphone 4s for three days, took it back and got the Galaxy nexus s, at first there were bugs, but maybe after 10 minutes of playing around, its blows my old 4s right out of the park.

Now i have it Rooted running on an Optimized ICS ROM. Absolutely everything can be customized, and personalized to run the way you want it to. Which let me tell you straight up is fucking awesome.

Plus do Iphones have....

In the end, get an iphone if you are afraid to change anything yourself to optimize your phone to level 10, and dont mind having a phone that will forever be a level 7 on the awesome scale.

And to all those complaining about them breaking, i repair electronics, and i get a solid 15 broken iphones a week for repair. Of course since they break so easily, i can buy a back glass for 5 dollars, and a front glass for 20.

Takes me not to long to fix them and i can overcharge hella.

I used to have an android, and that thing was slow as shit. once you have a lot of texts the whole messaging app just slows down, and it takes so long to delete only a few messages. Plus, they aren't as slick as iPhones.

I just got a 4, and i love it. I have had no problems with it, except for one - I'll plug it in to charge every night and I will turn it on the next morning with only 90% battery. granted this doesn't happen every day, and it can range from 90 - 100, it's really annoying being down to 75 - 80% by like 9:30.

So, now people who have iPhones are fucking idiots? Who gives a shit how "customizable" your phone is? If you really need to do something on your phone that requires uber l33t tech knowledge and hacker skills, you're probably better off using a computer anyway.

Obviously it was a list. If you had graduated from the 6th grade, you would of known that. LET ME PUT IT THIS WAY

IF YOU BELONG TO ANY OF THESE CATEGORIES GET AN IPHONE

-If your a fucking idiot

-Cant change settings on your phone

-Dont mind having a sub-par phone for ever

And to everyone saying oh my android sucks, not every android is the same, comparing you slide keyboard "Android" running on 1.1 is the same as comparing an iphone 1 to the iphone 4s.

This. I love how the argument Droid user's use is "my droid is way more customizable than your iPhone!". Sorry iPhones come out of the box ready to use and do everything you need it to. I had a Droid X, and couldn't wait to upgrade to my iPhone, and since having the 4s I have no motivation whatsoever to upgrade because my phone does everything I need it to do perfectly without any headaches whatsoever.

Haha yeah, I have a Droid X now and I'm just waiting for the iPhone 5 to come out to upgrade. This thing makes a better paperweight than a phone these days. I have to charge the battery twice a day, and everything fucking runs slow and freezes.

Dude it is horrible, when you get your iPhone esp with it being the 5 it will be a day and night difference with the efficiency of the phone. My favorite thing is the battery life, can go 2 days without needing to charge it. My droid x would literally freeze and reset like once every 3 or 4 days, my iPhone hasn't had any sort of bug with 7 months of use.

I am in the same situation, with a motorola atrix. I got it over the iphone because i really just wanted something no one had, but i wish i had gotten an iphone.

The way i see it, if you wanna screw around with your phone to get it exactly how you want it, get an android phone. If you just want a phone to do phone shit, get an iphone and you will be more than happy.

eh, I've gotten droids for the slide out keyboard. People are so spoiled nowadays and have such unrealistic expectations for their phones. remember 5 years ago when there were no smart phones? There all amazing and it's just personal preference mainly in regards to the OS, so try some out and go with what YOU like.

definitely get the iphone 5. most likely coming out in october, like the 4s. iphones are so much fun. if you really want customizability, just jailbreak it. I've done it, but theres a lot of pros and cons to it, and thats a whole different question. I've never had durability problems, just get applecare and a nice case. plus, apple has the absolute best customer service. ever. plus, ios is the best. its all the little things that make it better. look at the keynote for it, ios 6 looks amazing. if you really really don't like it you have like 30 days to return it. go for the iphone

this. my least favorite thing about this iphone vs droid is that everyone who complains about their droid has a shitty one and hasn't taken the time to take care of it and fix the bugs (really not that hard) but then they go and rationalize that all droids are shitty and iphones are better even though their phone was way cheaper than an iphone. and trust me jailbreaking an iphone is no where near the customization that you get from a droid out of the box and through legal third party applications.

btw i've owned an iphone, a shitty droid (well the first one that got shitty until i took the time to take care of it) and now the droid razr which i am in absolute love with and can't wait to get the ics update

If you're worried about it breaking, get a Nokia.

Otherwise, get an IPhone. They can take a few drops.

I have an HTC Trophy and the apps suck and I dropped it once and now it's chipped all on the sides. #FirstWorldProblems

For myself, I went with the Samsung galaxy s2 lte and I'm pretty happy with it. If you like the idea of having the ability to customize your phone, having a bigger screen (easier to surf the web), using things with flash, expandable memory, being able to replace your battery yourself and being able to download widgets, then get android. If not, Iphone.

The droid razrs are soooo sick. My friend got one and he said he only has to charge his battery once ever 3 days or so with normal use. My galaxy nexus didnt have great battery life, but after rooting for an ICS rom, with all the optimization ap's, my phone has a VERY solid battery life not to mention i can buy a spare battery for 6 dollars, where as an iphone they were too worried about looks they made it so you cant even take the battery out without taking apart the motherboard.

I just got a new Droid and I gotta say I like ot better than my iPod touch 4th generation. I have enough friends with IPhones to have played with then too so I don't think it's a biased comparison. Anyways, my advice is that if you settle on a drood then make sure you a) know what you are buying and b) spend a much as you would for the iPhone. Don't just settle for the cheapest Droid!
