skiing's pver so its time to get a job to make money for next season. its gonna be my first job (im 17) and i have no clue where i wanna work. any ideas?

Yea dude landscaping. Buy a lawnmower and trimmer and take care of people's lawns in your area. If you take the time to go out and get maybe 20-30 lawns per week, you will make a lot more money than you ever will working a regular job at your age. You get to work pretty much what hours you want, and you don't really have to report your earnings (the gov will never really find out) especially if they pay you cash. You get to work outside and be your own boss and I really don't see any reason not to do it. I did this from when I was 11 till 15, and the only reason I stopped was because I was sick of it and wanted some different work experience.

Yeah I'm actaully interested myself. i've always worked at just a local ski hill, but never off season. im working at some other place right now but its pretty dull and pay kinda sucks. i'd go golf coarse and caddy, but the closest ive gotten to golf is like 3 games of mini golf..and from what i heard u gotta actually somewhat know what club u gotta hand them n shit?

other then that i hear pays good.. and i kinda wanna do landscaping just cause it keeps ya in shape

Take what you can get lol.

My first job was hosting/bussing at a restaurant. It's cool 'cause you can work half a day, either the morning or night shift... and still have the rest of the day to yourself. Plus you make bank on tips.

yah, im doin landscaping this summer, i can't wait, i just want to work outside every day, and i get off at like 3 or something.

yeah ive mowed lawns the past two summers but only had a bout 2-3 a week which just isnt enough money. i would work in landscaping but i hate the hot weather and i dont really wanna work with a bunch of illegal mexicans. today i just applied to lazer craze, jet's pizza, pizza hut, dominoes, gamestop, and blockbuster. idk if ill get any of those jobs bu we'll see

I work as a bus boy now, and its okay, but I think I'm gonna get a second job over the summer since I only work 2 days a week where I work now.

Landscaping sounds like a good job, what do you do if you work for a landscaping contractor?

yo be a lifeguard its pretty chill and you work from 9 to 6 but get every other hour off well that what its like where i will work

i work at a funeral home washing the cars and now i have to cut grass and its the sweetest job ever..try your local funeral home..cars dont clean themselves

right now I'm probably going to do life guarding which is around 12.50hr, but I'm thinking about doing a summer apprenticeship program doing carpentry which is chill and is like 13.50hr

you probably will get most money from caddying at a private golf course. around 100 dollars per round

or landscaping you will make good money too

but i would hate doing work like that because im a lazy little bitch, and i would prefer doing something like a cash register at a grocery store. my friend told me he makes like 9 dollars an hour doing that and hes only 15. so grocery store jobs are pretty easy and youll get payed a little more than minimum wage i guess

go with a lifeguard. they make good money. like 12-18 an hour i think. but if you don't want to do that, golf course is good but working at a resruant could rock.

fuck you ya stupid ass white bitch, mexicans are really hard workers, you wouldn't last a fuckin day doin that shit cuz your fuckin weak

never said i hate mexicans. i said i hate ILLEGAL mexicans. they're a drain on the economy and take away jobs from legal citizens

is making 18 dollars an hour doing something boring better than making minnimun wage hauling your ass.

DON'T WORK AT ABERCROMBIE!!!!!

but other retail chains, like Luxottica, tend to pay pretty well. I worked at Sunglass Hut, got $8.75 an hour, commission, crazy discounts and eye insurance. legit.

just dont work at abercrombie. hell on earth.

actually that sounds like a decent idea. around here theres one of those sylvan learning centers. im gonna see what pizza hut says, they're getting back to me on monday. id love to work at lazer craze. i have a buddy who used to work there and he says you just play lazer tag all day but you just gotta watch out for safety and stuff

im a lifeguard but if your looking to get a job this summer without any training forget it. theres like 8 courses you have to take. it pays 11.50 an hour while were unionized and 10.50 in the summer when were not unionized. i work for the city of ottawa and thats what we all make. now im nto sure abotu private hires but i dont think they will make as much. also for any city position they only hire lifeguard/instructors so you have to teach swimming lessons aswell, but thats fun. 14.50/h unionized, 11.50 in the summer

work at a factory, the perfect job for antisocial types or those who dislike the customer service jobs. See if there's a ski factory near your home.

yea and work underneath a bunch of illegal mexicans who don't speak English, or nazi korean dudes who will yell at you constantly. O and you also will have to pay taxes and you will make way less money. Hmm, nice logic though.

i sometimes work on a farm. im only 14 though and cant get a job yet. but its nice actually, i throw hay bails on some conveyor thing...make about $5.50 an hour plus good tan, and in shapeness.

ya thats about average for caddying i'd say...some of my friends have pulled in around $800 over a weekend at the private country club nearby
