Getting a job in Whistler? Any tips?

Hi, I'm going to need a job for the winter in Whistler. Starting mid december until the end of the winter. Ideally I'd want to work a couple nights a week but I know this is probably really hard to find. Anyways I was wondering if you guys had any tips to where to start searching for jobs and what time I should start looking. I am in Québec until mid december. Thanks a lot for the help!

If you arrive in December I would be amazed if you could find work, you need to come earlier,

Check out the job fairs going in November, or just get here earlier and have a look around.

I have just arrived in Whistler for this coming season and am already working ready for winter.

depends really. Some places might hire in December because you will be available for the Christmas rush. Like rental shops really have no need for employees in November other than training, more or less just having people around so they can profit around christmas.

yeah I figured it would be easyer if I arrive earlyer, but I can't because I'll be in school. Is it possible to find a job just by emailing cvs and whatnot or do I really have to be there?

NOT TO THREAD JACK BUT WHAT ABOUT PEOPLE WHO ARE MOVING TO WHISTLER AT THE START OF NOVEMBER? SHOULD I JUST PRINT OFF A SHITLOAD OF RESUMES AND TOSS THEM AROUND THE VILLAGE? DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY RECOMMENDATIONS OF CHILL PLACES TO WORK WHERE I CAN STILL SKI 4-5 DAYS A WEEK? IF I DO NOT GET A FEW SHIFTS A WEEK I AM FUCKED AND WILL HAVE TO RESORT TO TURNING MY WASHROOM INTO A METH LAB

If your 19 get your class 4 drivers license and drive a cab. I worked 3 nights a week making $750-$900 in cash and all you do is drive drunk people around and listen to music.

Nope. A lot of the guys from Whistler taxi already own and operate there own cabs and are usually looking for someone to cover the nights they dont wanna work. You get paid all in cash too
