Getting a cat. Wat do.

and then they get old and mellow out! First of all, CONGRATS! YAY CATS. & my cat is 8 or so now and he's so much cuter than he used to be (except when he was a little kitten), cause he's mellowed down so much. But just go to the pet store or animal shelter and play with them and then buy the cutest one! As far as names go, it doesn't matter what you call it because you're not going to call it by it's real name anyway. Lets be honest we all address our animals by pet names anyway. Sorry for such a long post, I just really like cats. inb4 eharmony I love cats video.
 
I got two cats from a shelter just after they were kittens, named Twix and Tig. They were both awesome cats and we never had any issues with peeing in places or anything. Tig was kind of mean but got nicer when his brother died :(. Get an adult cat though, much less work then kittens.
 
THats why I posted it. Its the only cat I would ever think bout getting. Otherwise its all about the dogs
 
Got the cats today! They were really scared, and still are, im guessing because they were so used to the shelter life. I have them in a section of my house with food and water and catnip and micey toys. Theyre obviously very scared now, i feel i should wait until they calm down. Is this first home expirience freak out normal?
 
i juast got my new kitten about a week ago! i named him chuef, hes grey amd semi lomg haired. ill post a pic when not on mobile if somebody bumps this
 
I feel like that would be very normal after living in a shelter. also their previous owner may of affected them. they will warm up to you in a couple days.
 
They still chillin under a bed, but come out for food and pats! Yeah one was dropped off as a kitten and lived there for 3 years.

Names: Rowan, and the second one doesnt have a name!!!!

Its a black, female cat. Ideas?
