nah dude i think youre shit outta luck, ive tried many times too with no luck, it sucks. what about connecting your ipod to some one elses computer and uploading their songs any one know if thats possible??

no thats def not possible, it sucks i know. u could try uploading the software u got onto someones comp, but even then its highly unlikley, so now the next time u want to get new songs onto ur comp...ull lose the old ones, but i guess u already knew that

There are loopholes but it requires individually importing all your shit back song by song and you loose your track info...

It definately is possible, just takes a lot of work because the songs are stored in absolutely no order on the ipod.

1. Go into My Computer, when you have your ipod plugged in you should see some sort of removable storage device. Open it.

2. You should see a folder that says iPod_Control. If you don't see it you need to pull down the tools menu and click on folder options. When the folder options box comes up click on the view tab and make sure the bubble is checked next to show hidden files and folders.

3. Now you should be able to see the iPod_Control folder and open it. Open the folder called Music and inside there should be a bunch of folders named F#. Your music is contained in all these folders, all you have to do is copy and paste it to your computer. It isn't in any order, so it makes it a bitch if your trying to find just one song or album to put on your computer.

use jbird's advice or go here for a list of programs that'll do it for you.
