Getboards

I have had nothing but good experiences with them except that's only on clothing not sure about hard goods.
 
I've heard lots of bad stuff. Some good stuff obviously but tons of bad stuff too. They have a really bad rating by the better business bureau too. I've never bought anything from them so this is just from other people. Be careful.
 
i bought poles from them once, and they came without baskets, and the box was ripped up and shiit...like it was a reused box it seemed...wasnt good packaging at all

and they wouldnt answer messages about the baskets.

Use evogear. they arnt too bad
 
i have always had good luck but i have had a lot of friends who have not and i have heard tons of bad stories about them. I try not to use them any more unless i need to get something that only they have... that hasnt happened yet
 
It is super legit, got 2 pairs of skis from getboards and came quickly and perfect! Just make sure to call them to see if they still have the product you want in stock because they dont always update the site (they back order).

and i've heard mixed things. some say shipping takes forever, but that is probably because of the backorder issue addressed above.
 
hmmm better to stick with evo i think they seem pretty legit and probably have whatever getboards will have
 
I just had to because theres been a couple like this recently, all saying the exact same thing. I reccomend them by the way
 
i recommend them too they have good prices and good stuff. and hes not joking i made this same thread a week ago... but its ok
 
ive heard some mixed things about them so not really sure how legit it is but a lot of ppl seem to like them another pretty legit place is sierraskis.com

Our business practices have changed dramatically since just a year ago and we don't let orders slip through the cracks anymore. If you had a bad experience with us in the past, let me know, I'll see what I can do to help the situation. I have only been here for less than a year so I may not be personally familiar with some of the past problems but I am in the office monday through friday so the phones and emails are always answered and our warehouse is open monday through friday orders are always taken care of completely.

definately call them to order, they are legit, but they dont update there website, so call and order to make sure there in stock, its a local ski shop so their inventory fluctuates frequently
 
haha they said the same thing a few years ago, and even gave away gift bags to like 10 random kids on ns, but it never changed. i only ordered from getboards once and never will again, they "lost" my order that was supposed to come for christmas, i had to reorder it, then they sent me a sweatshirt that was full of holes, and had cuts from scissors or a knife. i sent it back, this is in march when i got my sweatshirt by the way, and was told they would send me a new one. never came, called and said they ran out of stock and would give me store credit.

everything that ive ordered from there has shipped wicked fast, and been good quality. and they seem to have really good deals. id recommend it.
 
I got a pair of ski from there for a pretty good price, but it's true it does take a while but it's defenetly worth it man
 
I heard GB is under new management and they are planning on overhauling the site and doing some super cool stuff. Let's hope for it, only time will tell. What they really should be doing is changing the name and just starting all over, we will see though. If the BBB has them rated poorly, then I would consider staying away from them as of now.

i see how you could question their legitamacy, but nevertheless they are..i bought a xl 08 orage tj jacket for a good price and it was all good..no worries
 
They Just send me 15 DVD's. to Canada. It took some time for the package to be shipped, but once they got all vids together, the package arrived amazingly fast. They ran out of one movie, so the refunded me for that.

they seem professional to me. I would use them again.
 
Mixed reviews, historically bad

New management with a much better reputation now. The owner has posted here a few times clearing up any questions or issues.

At the very least I would call them first to see if they have the stuff you want.

Great to see someone like Tamara who works there actually coming onto NS to draw the line. Hopefully things are on the rise there
