I graduating from College this December and am a little afraid of our economy and job growth. I say fuck it, a bunch of people think that in 2012 the world is going to end and maybe this current situation is leading to that. I say fuck it, everyone out there who may have the same feeling don't worry. SKI as long as you can, no use in getting a job anymore. Long live the ski bum
 
WOA Asian man, I'm not counting down like some people...I just think that our economy has gone to shit and we should not value money anymore and remain true to ourselves and do what we all love and that is to SKI. I would never wish upon someone to die.....

If ski bum is your telos then go for it. But the worlds going to still be here after 2012. I would be more worried about dying before then for the time being.

it's going to reverse though, the economy has always fluctuated, 2012 may very well be an economic revolution. get a job you hobo
 
fuck the world, i'm going skiing, no matter whether the global economy implodes upon itself, or the sun explodes, or a black hole swallows the planet, or whatever other armageddon theory is out there happens. as soon as i find out earth is doomed, i'm grabbing my frieds, my skis, and some nachos, and we're stealing whatever the most advanced spacecraft is at the time, and we're going to fin a planet with some big mountains and some sick lines.

and i don't want any of you guys telling me that's insane, all the haters are just a bunch of pansies who don't love skiing as much as i do.
 
Do you really need a reminder that Life should be lived to the fullest? Live you life because you never know when it will end.
 
Exactly live life to the fullest and maybe i was wrong about worrying about 2012, thats why I want to ski as much as possible, it just kind of sucks for College grads these days if the economy is tightening up job growth. SO live on and ski
 
I brought this up to my boyfriend. I said "if there's a chance the world is going to end soon, then why should we work our whole lives? Let us be free, not worry about money, spend what we have and live while we can" and he said "yeah but if the world doesn't end soon, then you're screwed" and i go "good point"
 
who fuckin cares when they say the world is gonna end. there not even around anymore. after 2012, people are gonna be like, Newton predicted the world to end in the year 2060(or somewhere close to.) so fuck we only have limited time left.

well fuck all that bullshit, the only way the world is gonna end is if people decide to make it end. so enjoy your life, but don't live like a fuckin bum.

Yes i agree we all live to ski, but we can only do that 6 months a year, there is more to life as you will soon find out when you graduate and have to repay student loans, support yourself, and invest in your future. Most parents shut you off after college. There is a way to balance it out though, get a real job in a ski town duh!

no one with a right mind believes that its gonna end in 2012, thats just people that are uninformed, chilam balam didnt say the world was gonna end, its just the end of the 4th dimension calender and the start of the 5th
 
even if the world doesnt end in 2012, im still going to ski as much as i can for the rest of my life.

Uhhh the world is not going to end in 2012.

The actual date is december 21st (some say 23rd) 2012.

This is the end of the last cycle on the mayan calander. It does not mean the end of the world, it means the beginning of a new time. The reason there are two dates is because of how you calibrate everything, kinda like leap year. Anyway, this corresponds with a few things. The coming of the age of Aquarius. The poles changing (they are already changing - but its not a full switch, just a period of craziness that happens so often) the official ending of the little ice age (we are 2 degrees cooler than our 2000 year average). So there are a lot of different possible reasons why it is this date. But in no way did it signify the earth exploding or anything of that sort.

Im with the whole age of aquarious theory. Predictions say that is supposed to start anywhere from 2050 to 2500 but I think everything now is shifting us into it.

That and the poles are definitely out of wack. 2 weeks ago I checked three compasses all of which should have been pointing north were pointing south west. Very wild.

Not trying to disprove your compass, just stating why its not unlikely for them to be off right now. And backing up my statement so I don't sound like an ass.
 
well i never said it was unlikely that yours was off right now. i said mine wasn't. you're putting too much thought into my post. i'm not some mysterious guy who says one thing and means 10 other things and then leans back in his chair and laughs at the world for not knowing what he is thinking. i'm just a guy.
