how long did it take you guys to get comfortable in the air when you were first starting, i always feel like im 2 close to the ground whenever im goin to grab or spin
I still get more comfortable everytime I jump, and I've been doing it for 5 years. It's all about just doing it, that's the only way to get better. Focus on the feeling of being in hte air, and doing tricks, and you'll get more comfortable.
my problem with tailgrabs and blunts are that i always think im way too close to the ground and that my tips will hit or some shit. then i hit the jump a few times doing safeties and some backscratchers (yah, backscratchers) and i relize it isnt small at all. practice makes perfect
get comfortable doing grabs where your legs aren't always directly under you. so like try to tweak out mutes or japans and stuff. work on shifting your center of gravity around.
Just practice doing little stuff in the air like grabs or shifties or just making sure you aren't moving your body parts around. No movement straight airs are fun too.
For me it doesn't matter when in the year just the jump. Second or third hit on the jump (doesn't matter how big/small/weird lipped) I'll be comfortable with it or very close to it.
i just feel totally natural in the air ever since i started. I usually grab first jump, but wait till later to do anything to difficult a higher speeds
i felt like poppin right off the lip is what makes the difference. If i pop real good, i feel awesome in the air. if i catch an edge or something, i feel like i'm flailing steezelessly for eternity.
it took me like 2 days of skiing, one day i accidently hit this jump while i was racing my brother in the park, and then i was like, whoa! and then i did it again the next time i went skiing and i got used to it
