alright so i buy a pair of skogens that have only been demoed 1 time. i get them and the twintip is delaminating!!! what the fuck?! getboards knew this and didnt tell me shit. fuck em all. and whats w/ line?? a ski that delaminates from 1 use, even the most defective product cant do that. screw em all. has anyone else had problems with these 2 companies?

 
getboards seems to have a reputation for slow and usually shitty service. i bought a pair of the skogens they have up now on special(the 00/01 models) and ive had no problems. Those skiis you got had to be demoed way more than once. Line's have a rep for fallin apart but not that easy. ive ridden on lines my whole twin tippin life and havent had any serious problems. just delaming in the older models that arent capped. if they were used once, sounds like soembody ate shit on a rail mabye. ohh and how much did you pay and what year are they?

hmmmm... getboards had good service when i ordered my boots, they came in 3 days with standard shipping, and i live in wisconsin (getboards is in cali).

other than the 1 delaminated tip they're sweet, but switch riding will rip that off real fast. i'm definetly sendin em' back.

haha, a long time ago I told every one bout my huge problem with Getboards, cuz they suck ass hole, and then the Getboards guy said suttin dumb to me insulting me, it was hilarious, lesson getboards sux weener by the minute

yeah the initial service is fine, you place an order you get your shit less than a week. BUT i ordered my scratch 100 bindings, they came in 4 days. the heel piece was broken from shipping i guees or something. it didnt lock it just flopped around and shit. i sent it back 3 WEEKS AGO and havent even gotta an e-mail, letter, or phone call on whats goin on with my bindings that i already payed for. if you send those skiis back dont plan on skiing anymore this year.

ya, i bought my 1080 boots from getboards and when i got them about a week later, the boot box was torn up, there were holes in it and it looked all faded as if it were wet, the boots were scratched up and the paint on the buckles was chipping off, so i called them and they said that it was a problem with the shipping and i should work it out with UPS. so i called UPS and they wanted me to send the boots to them, and they were going to inspect it. they said it was going to take a bout 2 weeks, and i said fuck it cuz i just wanted to use them. i got screwed but oh well.

 
yeah when my skis came it was in a makeshift box put together and they were sticking out of the top. and its not a problem w/ ups its w/ get boards, cuz they package the stuff.

those douche bags,i ordered oakly pants from them, i ordered XL, then a saize large was shipped to me. It also had a receipt with the pants that said extra large, not large. I didn't complain though because they fit fine. But what the hell, morons can't seem to get anything right.

yeah same thing happened to me. my skogens came in a box made of two boxes taped together that was barely long enough for the skiis. they werent bubble wrapped or anything, just chillin hittin against eachother and gettin dinged up. i got a few nicks in my sidewalls im pissed. but they were cheep so i cant complain.

i live in wyoming, and i ordered my scratches from sportsliquidator.com which is in canada, and they were packages really well, and there was no way they were going to get dinged up.

 
heres my story for those who havent heard it,

I ordered Look P12 bindings, Line Skogens, and Salomon Scarecrow poles. So here I am super stoked about my stuff, I was gettin them on 3 day air, so I was all into it, so 4 day any day now i will have them... 6 day, ok now im pissed, so I called them they give me a UPS number, witch was invalid so I kept calling them back so its bout a week and a half, so I call again... the guy ends up saying Im going to get this straightened out dont worry we will call you within 6 hours, so i wait and wait... never called, so finally they end up gettin my stuff sent after about 2 weeks(remember i was suppose to recieve 3 day air). So they send it to me, after leaving a message, you will recieve your skis, bindings, and poles on 2 day air, and we also put in a bunch of free stuff, a movie, some stickers etc... for your waiting and inconvenience. So 4 days later I get my skogens skis, and my poles, I was so stoked... so I go to the box in witch they came and was like no way bindings where in here too... THEY WERENT, so again I call them and they end up gettin my bindings to me in about 3 days... so after about 3 and half weeks or more, I get all of my stuff... but the boxes where in shit condition, all beat up and the binding parts scattered inside. I also want to add, I DID NOT RECIEVE ANY FREE STUFF THEY PROMISED ME... MY MOVIES... MY STICKERS... AND SOME OTHER STUFF HE SAID THAT WAS NOT CLEAR, ALL I GOT WAS THE GETBOARDS TSHIRT THAT COMES WITH THE SKIS AND BINDINGS AND POLES!!! So that made it worse... this even more ticked me off it had like 5 getboards.com brochures in it... you no there catologue.. errrrrrr die getboards

i think that getboards feals that they are the biggest online freestyle ski store(which they probably are) and that they dont need to worry about customer satisfaction, because if one person is unhappy, there are about a 100 more that are happy, and people will continue to buy from them, despite what others have said.

it sounds fucked up, but that is what i think

ebay, bought my concepts for $180 and they came in a week with standard shipping, no dings, no scratches, but the box was pretty ghetto.

 
e-bay is fucked up. i bought poles from there, they came in a box that was bent. guees what the poles were bent too, complete waste of 30 dollars. fuck e-bay i hope the server explodes and they have to shut it down.

^they are a good site, and all the prices are canadien, so its cheaper then getboards. kinda sux tho when u get a person on the fone that cant speak englich very well. e-bay is good too

i dont know if any of you knew this, but on the getboards site it says that they match competetors prices, you can call them and ask about a price you se at d-structure, and they might match it. i dont recemend emailing them, cuz they have never emailed me back. i found the scratch bcs at sportsliquidator.com for $294 american, but the only size they had was 188 so i called getboards, and they couldnt match that price. the thing is getboards still has the same prices on their skis as they did at the beginning of the year, the Scratch bcs are still $630, and the salomon s912 bindings are $280, and i got my BCs with the s912 bindings all new for $500 from a shop. no wonder getboards still has all the sizes of the skis still in stock when almost every other shop is sold out, it is cuz their prices are so high.

 
burn getboards, ya ebay is pretty cool i havent had a problem, remember when pokemons where popular well i got a charizard from one of my friends, haha and i sold it on ebay for $100, I also sold a guy that i found on getboards.coms forum and sold him a pair of skiboards that i mudskied with, haha at least that place is good for something

D-STRUCTURE get everything there. i have ordered over 10 times with at least 3 things in each order.... they come within 3 days and i can pay C.O.D. cuz i dont like the credit card shit..... Dont go anywhere ANYWHERE other then d-structure.... very very nice people.. alright prices and great service it gets a 10 out of 10 for shops......

the same thing that happened to CTripper happened to me. i ordered some 2x4 Oakley pants in large, and they sent me mediums. what the fuck? i can see how you could confuse an XL with an L (like if your a fuckin mongoloid ape) but L for M? needless to say im a skinny bastard who fit into the mediums and theyre still pretty baggy, but im pissed cuz they arent as big as id like em to be.

thats what all you douche bags get for mail ordering crap. mail ordering is a sin. you should all start shopping local. its way more conveinient, something goes wrong you take it to your shop, you dont have to pay for shipping adn if somethign is wrong you dont have to send it back to getboards and wait then wait for them to send em off then they have to send them back to you. its just a hassle. so support the local shops.

i just bought some skis locally, but sometimes shops dont have the exact model, size or brand that you are looking for, also you can often find a better deal on line than a local shop can offer. or there may not be a good shop near where you live.

 
i live three hours away from the nearest ski mountain i go into a 'shop' and ask them if they have twintips and they're like 'dude all snowboards are twintips'

it may seem like a good deal but its not really. you end up ordering skis from getboards you ahve to pay shipping then you ahve to take them to a shop to have them mounted and torque tested and what not which you have to pay for, then if anything is wrong you have to wait that much longer because you have to send them back to getboards to have it taken care of. if you went to a shop and if they are a decent shop and are chill they wont charge for the mount if you buy the skis from them and will throw in a wax and shit also. adn if something is wrong you can take them directly to them and dont have to worry about shipping them anywhere. adn if they dont have a particular size in stock they can usually get it.
