Get another SPK or stiff boots for pow?!??

I realized my current SPK's from a couple years ago are now butter which equals no control in pow! ( they were the cheapest ones, light blue) Now I don't know if I should get the new SPK's (cause I ski park heavy), or step up to salomons Ghost 120 pow boot, or rather just a stiff boot in general.

I don't know what I should do!! I want to have as much control as possible for pow cause I'm looking to progress, but, I really don't want a stiff boot for park, and my current boot is starting to get pretty shitty...

please help with some input!
 
i have buddies who ski on nothing but spk's here in Vail 120 days a year, and they swear by them. personally, i have ridden the ghost the past 2 seasons and am looking for a little softer boot for everyday use

i'm going to the full tilt konflct this season. if nothing else, i'm stoked for a boot that is on the stiff side but not balls to the walls. plus, with full tilt you can buy a tongue for $50 and completely change the stiffness from say the hot dogger 6 to a 10 flex.

Ahhh I just realized the SPK pro is a 110 flex index and the ghost is 120.

I'm just gunna get SPK as long as it fits the same.
 
As previously stated the Ghost 120 is a much differnt fit to the SPK. The ghost 120 this year is the tightest fitting boot in the range excluding the race boots. The SPK fits somewhere more in the mid tight fit.About the same as the impacts. The ghost is also much lower in the instep. Flex wise the ghost is onlyt just stiffer but being more foward means a stiffer feel as you have less flex in the leg to begin with.

The SPK you had would have been a 80 flex so going up to the 110 SPK Pro will be a good step up in stiffness.
 
You will have much better control. If you still ski a lot of park than this boot will be much better than the ghost will be for you.
 
I mean I understand the SPK is sick for the park. I'm just unsure about the SPK in pow compared to a tighter, stiffer, forward lean boot.
 
I have spk and hated them, good in park , but anywhere else they are too soft. This season im riding lange rx pro 130.
