this, there are millions of amazing songs that have never been used before, you have no excuse for reusing something

I was just letting him know... using a song thats in a huge ski/snowboard movie ruins the edit for me.
 
if you haven't seen art of flight, you must. and as a filmer, this guy has probably seen art of flight, making it even worse.
 
eheath is kind of right here. Usually reusing a song kind of wrecks an edit for me. But when the reuse is better than the original it's all good, and that was the case for me here. Art of flight was maybe the best movie I've ever seen, but the park scene at Aspen didn't get me stoked for winter. This edit got me head explodingly excited for it to start snowing, editing was perfect, skiing and everything else was soooo good and the song fit perfect.

Its a little different for big ski/snowboard companies, that shit happens like every year, but they buy rights and use the songs they want to use and dont give a fuck.

If he did make this before art of flight, cool but i was merely saying because the song was used in a major snowboard movie, it just ruined the edit. i never said it wasn't a good edit, i never said he sucked i never said anything else negative. fucking kids.
 
If thats the case, then no foul but overall, its tough to watch with that song because of art of flight. Like i said before, the edit is very nice, the filming is amazing, i never hated on that.
 
I really liked it.

The one thing that bothered me was your excessive use of film burn. From an editing standpoint, you are far too skilled to do corny shit like that, especially with how much you used it. Tone it down a bit, but other than that, great cine, great colors. on point. that's my 2 cents.
 
gotta chance to listen to Hurry Up Were Dreaming couple days suuhhh goood. stoked that everyone's editing to this song and midnight city. its because theyre great fucking songs not cause people are sharks chill
