Wow, a bunch of seasoned professionals ripping on a 17 yr old for doing a switch double 14. Not impressed. Especially not impressed because all those fools do contests then they want to rip on the judging. If you do contests then you're just as bad as any 'robot' skier, if you don't like the way contests are then have some balls and stop doing them and do your own thing.
 
I hope 4bi9 have seen Palace Waywards PWBC TV on dontwatchthattv. If not the coincidence is just scary.
 
This........ How can you hate on a 17 year old when the judges are the ones who put him on the podium. You gotta give the kid some credit.
 
It doesn't only help him out with his bills, with the amount of comps he won this year and with all the sponsores he has. Money is for sure not an essue for him right now.
 
that's the whole point. we all know geopper didn't give himself that score, this is all about ripping on the JUDGES. it always amazes me how hating on the SCORE that JUDGES give skiers somehow equals hating on the skier to you idiotic kids. funny thing is that no matter how many times this is pointed out, it'll be forgotten within a matter of hours.
 
U r an idiot. yeah it's picking on gep a bit but even he admitted that he was confused but that runs higher score. that pic is hating on how inconsistent judging is getting when it's supposed to be getting more justified and properly thought out. criteria is getting more vague rather than more understandable. Having an opinion isn't dumb but having an argument when you don't know whats going on is dumb. ur outta ur element donny.

and even if someone does hate on gep, haters gon hate, suck it up pussy and quit trying to tell the world how pro skiers should live their lives
 
Just got called dumb by a dude who has no grasp of correct grammar and punctuation. The picture and caption is clearly attacking the ever increasing trend of 'spin to win' type skiers being rewarded in contests. Using Geopper as the poster boy representing "the new age skier" is directly insulting and degrading.
 
No where in that picture does it say anything about spinning to win, or even a trick for that matter. It's making fun of the judges for not noticing major flaws and then scoring it higher than deserved. It's not hating on Geopper. I suggest you retract your statement.
 
ummmm did you not read my post? and the punchline is an image of the judges with the caption what do you guys think 95? it's showing that his run sucked yes but it's making fun of the clear mess up gep had and the discrepancy with his score. he was the poster boy because he's the one that messed up his run (like many others) but ended up winning the comp. if someone else had fucked up and won they would also have been the "poster boy" U R SO DUMB MY STOMACH HURTS ughhhh
 
this. If anything they should be hating on the judges not the rider. Goepper did what he needed to win, and if people are going to hate on him, well, they're just being assholes. I dont personally think it was a 95 run, but it still deserved the gold medal.

I'd be willing to guess Nick is about to go ham for the rest of the year. As if he wasn't already a motivated kid enough.
 
I've never met him personally, but the people who have met him don't paint a pretty picture. It's going be hard to convince me to like somebody with awful style and a rude personality.

A rude personality? No offence, but you clearly have never met him, and neither has anyone who said that. He's one of the nicest, most humble and mild mannered guys you could ever hope to meet.

 
I've never met him but i'm sure he's a normal dude. it's too bad he's getting so much hate. I know 4bi9 is saying they are hating on the judges...but really they are hating on goepper. He's gonna be hungry the next comp, i'll tell you that.
 
i havent met him, but quoting this. i highly doubt hes that rude and if schmuck thinks this i'd doubt anyone else would say otherwise. the trick was ugly and its not his fault he was scored so high.
 
i dont think saying that lj and tom posting "haha" is necessarily them hating on nick at all, they are just commenting on a funny pic that plays on the fact that the judging at the last stop was pretty fucked.
 
The video was fucking hilarious. Honestly his run was great and I won't make any comments on the judging, but that landing was pretty shitty. I don't doubt he will continue to win though.
 
I could be wrong but looking at the photo that started this whole thread was directly hating on the judges, not on Nick. It is unfortunate for Nick that he was the one that was "overscored" and had screen grabs taken of his air awareness and stompability. Problem here is the fact he is competing against Tom Wallisch who has a gift that everyone wishes they had that was clearly named afterbang. Tom never looks like he left the ground when he lands and judges are accustomed to that.

My biggest fear for Tom is the Simon effect on judges where as you start being judged against yourself. If Tom opens up and lands squirrely or "fakie pizza" he is gonna end up high 80's with that run Nick threw that got him a 95. Again...Not Nicks Fault at all... Tom mirrored Switch dub 10s left and right and they look identical, does anyone even know what toms natural way of spinning is anymore?

 
Actually I don't but thanks for playing. Haven't for almost a year.. And how does that effect the judging of lets say landing pizza pie or landing like Tom

 
haha ya I just noticed your name was Kevin Kruse and you were a TM for Scott a while back but I guess not anymore. Also, NO ONE can compare to Wallie's landings. sorry bout that mixup.
