But seriously, I do the dishes at my place, and, weird as it may sound, I cannot stand generic dish soap. No lie, Dawn just takes the cake. Its better.

This wrestler I used to work with would always make the biggest deal out of Oreos, and how off-brand cream stuffed chocolate cookies just wouldnt cut it. I dunno.

Anyone have any other products that simply must be brand name!? Im literally dying to know...
 
ha nice. i havent eaten cereal in a few months because of Crohns disease, but I remember that off brand cereal was terrible haha. seriously tho, fuck wheat. And its the same with pop-tarts. you ever eaten an off brand pop-tart. If memory serves, those were the pits.
 
you ever try to just brew it yourself? Just get some black tea, either loose leaf or bagged, and just put it in some cold water overnight? I really dig it haha, helps to avoid juice and soda and shit
 
for sure. so convenient. Give it a shot tho. To start (see if you like it) just buy a gallon of water (1$) and then a little box of black tea bags (not generic of course haha), and just hang like 5 of 'em in and let it sit overnight. Wake up and taste. Too weak? add another bag or two. Too strong? Serial dilute that shiz
 
You should make sun tea then. Not sure how the cold water overnight actually brews the tea in the other post. But I let the sun slow brew my tea for a day. Then slice in some lemons and cool it in the fridge. Remove lemons (otherwise you'll get an overly acidic taste). Super yum. No refined sugar.
 
My mom brews a lot of tea and she brews it hot but just throws it in a containter and puts it in the fridge. I'm not a huge tea drinker but I'm guessing the hot brew is quicker and a better brew than the overnight cool brew?
 
My mother makes homemade iced tea sometimes. She also puts fruit juice in it, like peach juice or something.

Sometimes paper towels. I try not to use so many of them, but I had some that were just too weak to be useful. Like it was difficult to tear it off without ripping it the wrong way. I would wipe stuff, and they would rip. So annoying.

 
If you add a tiny amount of baking soda, it takes away the little bit of acidity in the tea, makes it so smooth. Not sure if it works with lemons though.
 
heat speeds it up, but is not necessary. as others have said, you could brew warm and then let cool. By making sun tea, or doing a cold brew, you tend to get less bitter tasting tea, which is my jam haha
 
totally know what you mean with paper products. Thick, quilted ass Brauney (sp?) is so much better than the crappy, ultra thin, zero absorbent generic brand trash.
 
Except toilet paper, for some reason I love kirkland's toilet paper.

I bought no-name brand q-tips once... never again. I also wouldn't trust no-name condoms.
 
Great Value I'll give you. But Kirkland? Dude I would get everything Kirkland brand if I could. It's just repackaged name brand.

Their bagels literally have the Einsteins logo on the back.

Their TP and paper towels are amazing.
 
off brand peanut butter. JIF 4 EVER.

i also have a weird thing with off brand ice cream, i dont know why but i know it tastes exactly the same as other ice cream. but i just cant eat it.
 
Honestly, Superstore/Loblaws or whatever absolutely makes banger granola bars and so forth. Far superior to Nature Valley. +1 for generic brands. For the most part though the real deal is where it's at, and can't be beat.
 
safeway toilet paper is actually really good. honestly, i think it's pretty sad if you care that much what you wipe your ass with.

in truth, though, the worst is the super super thin industrial/commercial stuff that is in schools n other public bathrooms, and it's not even technically generic. that's definitely where I draw the line, but sadly you have to suffer through it cause there's no other options in a public shitter.
 
This is the first thing that popped into my mind when I opened this thread.

Cheap TP is up high on my list of worst things in the world.

generic tissues and toilet paper or whatever it is that schools buy. That shit literally gives my ass papercuts and it sucks!

Nothing worse than going to a big bbq and then host decided to save a few pennies on generic potato chips...pretty much just a slap in the face to all their guests
