Only in my sweetest dreams do my streams lack troubled waters, shallow pools full of shallow fools...

i was raised on mckonkey, morrison, kreitler and shane anderson... then came the new canadian airforce, then came tanner and jon and pollard, then there was like 2 or 3 years of not many new people, jamie pierre kind of started blowing up, then bibby and tj showed up... and now i cant even keep track of everyone... but i think its safe to say that zach d/puskas/grant are the freshest of generations

Good thread, I'm an older one as well so I grew up looking up to Warren Miller and Plake and Schmidt and those guys. But State of Mind really opened my eyes, and to a greater extent Degenerates, 13, Parental Advisory (Poor Toben), and the SuperShow. So I guess I still relate with the "veterans", people like Vinny, MD, JP, JF, Szocs, Candide, and Julien Ragnier. Vincent Dorion throws switch 7's in Degenerates in 98! Progression. Candide does the most beautiful trick in any ski movie, a flatspin 7 over a wierd hip type thing in 13. I still think JP and JF have an amazing style that cannot be replicated. I'm all for the new guys, but I really have a lot of respect for the veterans of our sport

My dad has been skiing his whole life so he had all the old movies. He used to work out alot in my basement to blizzard of oz and p-tex lies and duct tape and i was like "shit thats awsoeme" Glen plake was deff my favorite.

I really feel there is a 4th coming up and even a 5 with peeps like the dadali bros, witt, and the groms like duncan adams and people like that. its super exciting to see this shit go down.

I am definetly a product of Plake and Co. I grew up watching stump videos of him and schimt killing it...the first time I got to ski with Plake was awsome...the dude has such an incredible attitude towards our sport...I even got to do some cheesy RSN show with him...skiing around doing worm turns and outriggers while skiing 2-feet of siera cemment....that dam show never stopped playing for two years...

Pollard had influenced my skiing the most out of any professional skier... i feel like he's taken his progression in a unique direction...

MMMMMMEEEEEEEEEGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

schmidt is the man that is about it

meg drop me a line sometime

' yes wiener you are the coolest, sexiest piece of man meat ever to walk this planet' Jeff Schmuck ahahahah

Well my first skiing heroes were guys like C.R., Rex Thomas, Steele Spence, and Candide. But then I started to like C.R. more for his backcountry achievments, and that brought me to Pollard, and Seth, and Pep. Nowadays I just like anybody that I see is trying to be creative and has has a unique style.

The first time I heard of freestyle skiing... a couple years ago when i turned on the x games to watch snowboarding. I turned it on late though and i was pissed. i tuned in as tanner hall was starting his slopestyle run. maybe that was even last year... I was saving up for a snowboard at the time too =D
